Objective:This study was focused on summarizing and analyzing the characteristics of anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis in our hospital, and tried to make a conclusion about the gender differences, clinical manifestations, antibody titers, imaging features,EEG characteristics and prognosis of Chinese population of anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis. Methods:This study investigated the patients with anti-NMDAR encephalitis adopted by the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University Medical College from January 2014 to November 2016 with a 6 months' follow-up.What's more,a lot of related literature were contrasted and discussed in the study. Results:There were 14 females and 14 males in the 28 patients with anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis.Only three of the 14 female patients(21.4%)had cerebrospinal fluid pleocytosis, but in 14 male patients,11 patients(78.6%)had cerebrospinal fluid pleocytosis. There was a significant difference between them(P<0.05).Intracranial MRI scanning found that 6 female patients(42.9%)were with abnormal results.However,12 male patients(42.9%)were with abnormal results. There was a significant difference between them(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in age distribution, clinical symptoms and prognosis between the two groups(P>0.05).There was a significant difference between antibody titers and outcomes(P<0.05).Those patients who were with worse outcome often had higher antibody titers. Conclusion:Most of the clinical manifestations of anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis were reversible, and there were significant differences in gender.Higher antibody titers meant worse outcomes.
