Objective To explore the clinical characteristics of peripheral neuropathy in patients with Rheumatoid patients, through the analysis of clinical manifestations, laboratory examinations and treatments. Methods We selected 51 patients with rheumatoid arthritis of the First Affiliated Hospital of Bengbu Medical College from Jan 2012 to Jan 2017 as groups with peripheral neuropathy, who were disgnosed with peripheral neuropathy and were hospitaized in The Department of Rheumatology and Immunology. As control subjects,we selected 51 patients with rheumatoid arthritis but not peripheral neuropathy as groups without peripheral neuropathy;and there is no statistically significant difference in age and sex between the two groups. We compared the difference about clinical manifestations, laboratory data and treatments between the two groups.Data was analyzed by SPSS21.0 software.Results(1)The occurrence rate was 3.0%;there was no statistically significant difference of duration of RA,numbers of tender and deformed joints, time of deformed joints and unformal treatments between two groups, while there was statistically significant difference of the number of swollen joints(11.71±1.93)vs(6.55±1.67),P =0.048).The DAS-28 score of group with peripheral neuropathy was higher than that of group without peripheral neuropathy[(6.28±0.23)vs(5.47±0.29),P=0.036 ];RF and anti-CCP of group with peripheral neuropathy were higher than group without peripheral neuropathy,[(538.08 ± 138.48)vs.(230.71 ± 59.61)U/ml,P=0.048 ],[(248.00±52.45)vs.(112.98±20.20)IU/ml,P=0.021];while complement C3[(0.87±0.04)vs(1.01±0.05)g/L,P=0.043]of group with peripheral neuropathy was lower than group without peripheral neuropathy, and no statistically significant difference inESR,CRP and other laboratory index.(3)The time of using DMARDs,time and daily dose of using glucocorticoid of rheumatoid patients with peripheral neuropathy were no statistically significant difference compared with group wthout peripheral neuropathy. Conclusion The prevalence of peripheral neuropathy in patients with Rheumatoid patients is not very low, more number of swollen joints, high disease activity, high RF and anti-CCP are the clinical characteristics of peripheral neuropathy in patients with Rheumatoid patients.
