Background: Stable angina pectoris(SAP)is the leading cause of human morbidity and mortality worldwide.Stable angina is a common cardiovascular disease. It is most commonly caused by the inability of narrowed atherosclerotic coronary arteries to supply adequate oxygen to the heart under conditions of increase demand.Over the last decade, various targeted therapeutics have been introduced, but there has been no corresponding improvement in patient survival.Since the mortality rate of cardiovascular disease has not been significantly decreased, efforts have been made to understand the link between heart disease and novel therapeutic targets such as non-coding RNAs.Among multiple non-coding RNAs,long non-coding RNA(lnc RNA)has emerged as a novel therapeutic in cardiovascular medicine.Lnc RNAs are endogenous RNAs that contain over 200 nucleotides and regulate gene expression.Recent studies suggest critical roles of lnc RNAs in modulating the initiation and progression of cardiovascular diseases. They have been shown to exert comprehensive effects on biological processes through a variety of mechanisms and are thought to play roles in the pathophysiology of some diseases such as heart failure and acute myocardial infarction. At present, studies have shown that lnc RNAs such as Bvrt,Fendrr,ANRIL,MIAT,LIPCAR,and My Heart(Mhrt)play important roles in cardiovascular development and heart disease, including myocardial infarction, cardiomyopathy, heart failure, and atherosclerosis. In addition, recent studies have revealed that lnc RNAs are dysregulated during various pathological conditions, making them the ideal candidates for therapeutic targets and biomarkers. However, lnc RNAs as a stable biomarker of stable angina is currently no relevant reports. In our premier study,we found that the lnc RNA ENST00000589524.1 expression was obviously higher in SAP group in the result of lnc RNA microarray.Purpose: The objective of this study is to determine the expression level of ENST00000589524.1 in SAP patients and analyze its association with the risk factors of SAP.Materials and Methods: A total of 38 SAP patients and 38 controls were selected from the patients who were admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from November 2014 to June 2015.The expression level of ENST00000589524.1 in SAP patients and controls was measured by real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR.Results: The q RT-PCR results showed that circulating ENST000005-89524.1 expression level was increased in SAP patients. We did not find the lnc RNA expression level association with the risk factors of SAP in this study. Conclusions: Circulating ENST00000589524.1 can act as a potential biomarker for estimating the presence of SAP.
