Effects Of Different Self Etching Adhesives And Different Composite Resins On The Microleakage Of Restoring Class V Cavities

Objective:To compare the effects of three kinds of self etching adhesives and three kinds of resins on the microleakage of restoring Class V cavities.Method:Box-shaped class V cavities(3mmx2mmx2mm)were prepared at the dental neck o-n the buccal and lingual surfaces of 45 freshly extracted third molars.The teeth were divided into 9 groups by random number method,5 teeth and 10 cavities in each group.The adhesives are Easy one,S3 bond and XV.The composite resins a re Z350,AP-X and TPH.There were combinations of the following:A+D group(Easy one+Z350),A+E group(Easy one+AP-X),A+F group(Easy one+TPH),B+D group(S3+Z350),B+E group(S3+AP-X),B+F group(S3+TPH),C+D group(XV+Z350),C+E group(XV+AP-X)and C+F group(XV+TPH).According to the desc-ription method of adhesives and composite resins,the cavities of each group were filled with the corresponding adhesive and resin.After putting the teeth into the c-onstant temperature water bath box with the temperature of 37 ℃ for 24 hours,th-ey were soaked in 1%methylene blue solution at room temperature for 24 hours,then,they were cut buccolingually into two halves with carborundum disc,and the microleakage degree was observed under the stereomicroscope.Finally,carried on the statistical analysis.Results:There was no interaction effect between composite resin and adhesive(P>0.05).There was a significant difference in the main effect of composite resin and adhesive respectively(P<0.05).There was a significant di-fference in the microleakage between S3 bond and the other adhesives(P<0.05).There was no significant difference between Easy one adhesive and Xeno V adhesi-ve(P>0.05).There was no significant difference between Z350 and AP-X resin(P>0.05).There was a significant difference between TPH and the other resins(P<0.05).Conclusion:The occurrence of microleakage is the result of the interactio-n between the adhesive and the resin.There is no interaction effect between comp-osite resin and adhesive,Providing certain experiment for clinical reference.
