Objective:To explore the relationships between vitamin D and chronic urticaria,as well as thyroid autoantibodies and chronic urticaria, and to reveal if vitamin D affect the severity and gender difference of the disease by detecting serum levels of 25(OH)D,thyroid peroxidase antibody(TPOAb),thyroid microsome antibody(TMAb).Methods:Collected eighty-four cases of qualified patients with chronic urticaria visited our outpatient department during June 2015 to June 2016,and fifty-six healthy people from the physical examination center as a normal control group.Evaluate severity of the disease according to the USA principles. And detect the serum levels of 25(OH)D,thyroid peroxidase antibody(TPOAb)and thyroid microsome antibody(TMAb)of two groups respectively through the enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Statistical analysis was conducted by SPSS 19.0.Results:1.The serum levels of 25(OH)D in CU group(20.86±7.08ng/m L)was lower than those in control group(27.05±9.84ng/m L)with statistically significant(P < 0.05).2.Aspects of the severity and gender difference of the disease, there were no statistically significant(p>0.05)in the serum levels of 25(OH)D between the two groups.3.The serum levels of TPOAb,TMAb,TPOAb/TMAb in CU group(19.0%,16.7%,23.8% respectively)were higher than those in control group(5.4%,3.6%,7.1% respectively). The results has a statistically significant(P <0.05).4.Analysis of the relationship between positive rate of the thyroid autoantibodies in CU group and the severity of the disease showed no statistically significant(P > 0.05).The females’ positive rate of the thyroid autoantibodies(TPOAb、TMAb、TPOAb/TMAb)with CU were 68.8%,64.3%,65.0%,and those of male were 31.2%,35.7%,35.0%,which showing that the rate of female was higher than male significantly.Conclusions:1.The serum levels of 25(OH)D in CU is lower than those in healthy people significantly.2.There is no relevance of serum 25(OH)D to the severity and gender difference of the disease.3.The positive rates of thyroid autoantibodies(TPOAb and TMAb)in CU patients are higher than those in healthy person.4.There is no relevance of the positive rates of thyroid autoantibodies to the severity of the disease. But the positive rates of thyroid autoantibodies have gender difference, more female than male.
