With the increasing progress of scientific research, the free radicals also attracted more and more attention. The degree of free radical has kept the most intimate links with human health. The present study suggests that the increase of free radicals in the body, will break the original balance system and cause a lot of human diseases. Therefore, this study developed an antioxidant soft capsule formulation, with anti-free radical action by the composition of traditional Chinese medicine,Chuanxiong,Panax and Salvia. In this study,we carried out the pharmaceutical research and preliminary efficacy evaluation,as follows:The orthogonal experimental design method was used, based on the dry weight of the paste, the total content of Notoginsenoside R1 and Ginsenoside Rg1.The extraction methods were optimized and separately to determine the best extraction process:(1)The best optimization results of Panax notoginseng : select 70% ethanol concentration, extracting 2 times, each time 3 hours;(2)The best optimization results of Salvia and Chuanxiong: supercritical carbon dioxide extraction pressure 25-30 MPa,extraction temperature is 40?,extraction time 1 h.And based on the aboved research results, the pharmaceutical formulations process of antioxidant lotus soft capsules was studied. The antioxidant efficacy of soft capsules was investigated in the rats model with oxidative damage induced by ethanol.Superoxide dismutase(SOD),malondialdehyde(MDA)and whole blood glutathione(GSH)content in the animal's serum were detected, the results showed that antioxidant soft capsules have antioxidant pharmacological effects. The research of this paper lays the foundation for the further study of antioxidant soft capsule as antioxidant drug.
