Effects Of Acupuncture On Blood Pressure And Central Asp And Glu Based On Spontaneous Hypertension Rats

Objective Taking spontaneous hypertension rats(SHR)as the carrier for research,to observe the antihypertensive effect of acupuncture with different acupoints prescription whose main acupoint was Taichong(LR3)on SHR and to choose the best acupoints prescription.To observe the effects of acupuncture on the content of aspartic acid(Asp)and glutamic acid(Glu)in the rostral ventrolateral medulla(RVLM)in SHR.Methods A total of 72 SHR were randomized into model goup,Taichong(LR3)+ Neiguan(PC6)group,LR3 + Ligou(LR5)group,LR3 + Guangming(GB37)group,LR3 + Taixi(KI3)group,LR3 + non-acupoint group(n=12 rats in each group),and 12 WKY rats of the same age were used as the normal control group.The filiform needles were inserted into the abovementioned acupoints and non-acupoint retained for 30 min.The treatment was conducted once per day,15 times in total.The model group and WKY rats didn't receive acupuncture treatment.The rats' tail blood pressure was examined on day 1,3,7 and 15 after acupuncture treatment by using a non-invasive blood pressure monitor.The brain of model goup,LR3 + PC6 group,LR3 + non-acupoint group were removed after 15th treatment,while the WKY group were treated in the same way.At the end of experiment,the contents of Asp and Glu in the RVLM were detected by high-performance liquid chromatography with FLD technique.Result 1.Blood pressure(BP)change:On day 7 and 15 after the acupuncture treatment,the systolic blood pressure(SBP)of LR3 + PC6,LR3 + GB37,LR3 + KI3,and LR3 +non-acupoints groups were all decreased significantly compared with model group(P<0.05).On day 15,the effect of the LR3 + PC6 group was significantly superior to that of the LR3 +LR5,LR3 + GB37,LR3 + KI3,and LR3 + non-acupoint groups in reducing the levels of SBP(P<0.05).On day 15,The SBP,DBP and MBP of the LR3 + PC6 group were all decreased significantly compared with before acupuncture(P<0.05).On day 7 and 15,the effect of the LR3 + PC6 group was significantly superior to that of the model group in reducing the levels of DBP and MBP(P<0.05).2.the contents of Asp and Glu in the RVLM:Compared with normal control group,the contents of Asp and Glu in the RVLM were significantly higher in the model group(P<0.05).After acupuncture intervention,both Asp and Glu levels in the LR3 + PC6 group were markedly lower in comparison with the model group(P<0.05).The contents of Asp in the LR3 + PC6 group was lower than LR3 + non-acupoint group(P<0.05),but that of Glu was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Different acupuncture prescriptions were effective in lowering blood pressure in SHR,and the effect in LR3 + PC6 group is best,which may be associated with its effects in lowering Asp and Glu contents in the RVLM.
