A Case Report Of AFP-Producing Gastric Cancer With Literature Review

Aim:To increase the understanding of AFP-producing gastric cancer,analyse the reason for the well prognosis of this patient.Method:Retrospectively summarize and analyse the clinical data of one case of AFP-producing gastric cancer.Review some related literature,make some discussion and write the mini review.Result:In this case,we report one old female patient diagnosed with AFP-producing gastric cancer.She had a quite high level of serum AFP(>10,000ng/mL)preoperatively.Abdominal CT found no sign for lymph node or liver metastasis.She received radical resection and 6 courses of SOX chemotherapy.Every 6 months,she would came back to hospital for follow-ups,the abdominal CTfoundno sign for recurrence or liver metastasis,the level of serum AFP remained low.The patient had a well prognosis for more than 29 months survival.And she lives till now.Conclusion:The well prognosis of this patient may be associated with early stage of tumor and radical surgery.
