Objectives:To evaluate the efficacy of different concentration of ropivacaine in patient receiving continuous femoral nerve block for postoperative rehabilitation pai-n after total knee arthroplastic surgery. Methods:Sixty ASA ? or ? patients aged 56-72yr undergoing unilateral total knee arthroplastic(TKA)surgery were randomly allocated into 2 groups(n=30 each),t he high concentration(0.3%ropivacaine)group and the low concentration(0.15%ropiveceine)group.All patients received general anesthesia with LMA.After opera-tion,all patients received continuous femoral nerve block for postoperative rehabil-itation pain.Visual analog scores(VAS)during rest;initiative exercise and contin-uous passive movement(CPM).Time of first walk, muscle strength grades and co-mplications were recorded. Results:The VAS during rest, initiative exercise and CPM at 12h,24h,48h,72h in Group High were significantly lower than those in Group Low(p<0.05).There was no significant difference about the time of first walk between the two groups[(24±2)h vs.(26±3)h,P>0.05].Average muscle strength grades during postoperative 24-72h in two groups were above grades. Conclusions:Compare with 0.15%ropivacaine,0.3%ropivacaine can provide satisfactory postoperative rehabilitation pain.
