Influence Of Perioperative Erythrocyte Transfusion On Short-term Grafts’ Patency After Off-pump Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting

Objective:There is not systematic research and discussed in detail in the academia about the problem that whether perioperative transfusion of red blood cells can increase the rate of restenosis of grafts ’ patency.To analyze the influence of perioperative erythrocyte transfusion on short-term grafts ’patency after off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting(OPCABG)..Results The graft patency rates of group‖ were higher than the graft patency rates of groupⅠ(p﹤0.05).To compare the great saphenous vein grafts ′ patency rates between two groups,group ‖ had higher patency rate(p ﹤0.05).The left internal mammary artery grafts ’patency was not statistically different between groupⅠ and group‖.Conclusion Perioperative red blood cells transfusion after OPCABG increases the rate of restenosis of the great saphenous vein grafts.Methods:127 patients(21 patients lost follow-up)who underwent OPCABG in the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University from June 2013 to June 2015 were admitted.All patients must have the same operation to complete the operation.These patients were divided into two groups according to usage of red blood cells:group Ⅰ(not use,n=71),group ‖(usage of erythrocyte,n=35).Information before operation including:age,height,weight,hypertension,diabetes,hyperlipidemia,smoking history,family history,left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),whether the use of Intraaortic Balloon counterpulsation auxiliary(IABP),and so on.Perioperative observation target including: operation time,postoperative ICU time,postoperative mechanical ventilation time,intravenous antibiotic time,length of hospital stay,and hospitalization cost.Postoperative patiens regular reviewed of electrocardiogram,chest X-ray,echocardiogram,etc.Coronary artery CT was applied one year after the surgery to compare the grafts’ patency between two groups.Results : Compairing the information between two groups by using statistical methods.The graft patency rates of group‖ were higher than the graft patency rates of groupⅠ(p﹤0.05).To compare the great saphenous vein grafts′patency rates between two groups,group‖ had higher patency rate(p﹤0.05).The left internal mammary artery grafts’ patency was not statistically different between groupⅠ and group‖.In addition,by comparison of perioperative clinical data,postoperative ICU time of groupⅠis longer than group‖(t = 4.50,P = 0).Postoperative mechanical ventilation time of group‖is shorter than group Ⅰ(t = 4.21,P = 0).Hospitalization cost of group Ⅰis higher than group‖(t = 4.86)..Length of hospital stayof groupⅠis longer than group‖(t = 6.54).Conclusions:Perioperative red blood cells transfusion after OPCABG increases the rate of restenosis of the great saphenous vein grafts,and it also ncreases the rate of restenosis of the grafts.
