The application of computer vision technology in dental orthodontic process can help doctors to accurately understand the displacement of the fixed appliance that the patients is wearing,which reducing the dependence on the doctor's experience and operation proficiency,improving the therapeutic effect and the treatment experience.The feature extraction in computer vision is a very important part.Many researches on feature extraction have adopted the method based on image processing,and have good effect in the application scene with large target size and rich feature.But the dental orthodontic process of teeth images have their unique characteristics.For example the teeth target is small,and the teeth's surface is smooth,the moist mouth is glare and so on.The above characteristics make the traditional feature extraction method can only achieve the purpose of rough positioning.In this paper,based on the study of the characteristics of the tooth images,the traditional feature extraction method is experimented.And a new method of the feature extraction of the tooth image is carried out,which is based on the means of optical information processing and optical matched filtering.In this paper,the exact location of orthodontic appliance in dental images is achieved by matched filtering method,and some key problems in matched filtering process are studied deeply.The main work is as follows:1.The characteristics of dental images and orthodontic surgery,the needs of the camera equipment,displacement measurement principle,resolution and measurement accuracy and other aspects were studied,compared with the traditional sense;2.According to the characteristics of orthodontic process,the preliminary work of camera equipment and lighting environment were studied.At the same time,the related methods of post-image preprocessing which need to be acquired are discussed,so as to obtain the image material which meets the requirements of follow research;3.The feature extraction method of the teeth image is extracted and the feature extraction method based on the traditional image processing method is adopted and the feature extraction method based on the optical matching filter principle is used,and the experimental results are displayed and analyzed.4.From the point of view of the occurrence of the heavy difficulty of the matching filtering process,and propose an improved method to effectively reduce or eliminate therelevant interference.But also on how to reduce the complexity,improve the speed of the program to optimize the algorithm.So that the teeth image feature extraction based on the principle of optical matching filtering can be carried out efficiently and accurately.
