Efficacy Of Chinese Herbal Compound Combined With Postoperative Adjuvant Chemotherapy In Colorectal Cancer:A Meta-analysis

Objective: To analyze the clinical efficacy of Chinese herbal compound combined with postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy in treating colorectal cancer by means of evidence-based medicine methods.Methods: SinoMed,CNKI,Wanfang data,VIP,Ovid,PubMed and Cochrane library were systematically searched for randomized controlled trials(RCTs)which had been published in international journals or Chinese core journals and compared the therapeutic efficacy of Chinese herbal compound combined with postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy for colorectal cancer.Articles,having been filtrated according to the criteria for inclusion and exclusion,were evaluated for their quality through Jadad score.Data including the recent curative effect,the quality of life score stability factor,the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome curative effect,the incidence rate of the drop for WBC?PLT,the incidence rate of abnormal liver function?nausea and vomiting and calvities.The inclusive studies were extracted for a Meta-analysis through the software RevMan5.3 that provided by Cochrane Collaboration.Results: 20 RCTs were enrolled in this study and Jadad grade showed that all studies were low quality.The meta analysis showed that compared to chemotherapy only,Chinese herbal compound combined with postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy in treating colorectal cancer could enhance theefficiency of recent curative effect?the quality of life score stability factor and the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome curative effect.What's more,it also can reduce the incidence rate of the drop for WBC ? PLT and the incidence rate of nausea and vomiting.But the incidence rate of toxic and sid effect,such as the incidence rate of abnormal liver function and calvities,it had no difference between them.Conclusions:The meta analysis showed that compared to chemotherapy only,Chinese herbal compound combined with postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy in treating colorectal cancer could enhance the efficiency of recent curative effect ? the quality of life score stability factor and the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome curative effect.What's more,it also can reduce the incidence rate of the drop for WBC?PLT and the incidence rate of nausea and vomiting.But the incidence rate of toxic and side effect,such as the incidence rate of abnormal liver function and calvities,it had no difference between them.However,the reliability of the conclusions in this study isn't completely enough and it needs going on to be evaluated with more large sample and high quality researches.
