Objectives:Vitamin D is a fat-soluble steroid hormone with various physiological function,well-known about its maintaining bone metabolism on balance.Deficiency of vitamin D may cause osteopenia or even osteoporosis. In this study,we investigated serum 25(OH)D levels in 456 Han adult people living in Shandong, obtained their vitamin D status and made a rough analysis of vitamin D influencing factors.Methods:849 people subjected to laboratory vitamin D test(Elecsys(?)Vitamin D total assay by F.Hoffinann-La Roche Ltd,Basel,Switzerland)in Checkup Department,Outpatient Department and Inpatient Department of Qilu Hospital from April,2015 to August,2016 and data from Online Analysis System of Orthopedic group of Shandong Medical Association were reviewed, and 74 patients with diabetes and thyroid disease,41 patients with kidney diseases,31 patients with digestive system diseases,42 patients taking vitamin D and/or calcium supplements,44 patients with severe hyperlipidemia or other diseases that may seriously affect serum 25(OH)D levels,76 non-Shandong residents,33 Non-Han residents and 52 underage patients were ruled out from analysis.456 patients were included in the study finally.Patients were grouped by gender, age, occupation, residence and blood sampling time.Data in each group was analyzed with Stata 14.0(StataCorp LLC,Texas,USA).Results:1.Average serum 25(OH)D level of 456 subjects was 14.25 ± 8.2 3ng/ml,the vitamin D deficiency rate was 94.1%,the vitamin D deficiency rate was 78.5%;2.No significant difference showed in serum 25(OH)D level of subjects with different genders, and the insufficiency rate and deficiency rate of vitamin D were not significantly different.3.Significant differences showed in serum 25(OH)D levels of subjects with different age,and the levels of subjects aged between 26 to 30 years' old were higher than other ages, but no significant difference in vitamin D insufficiency rate and deficiency rate.4.Significant differences showed in serum 25(OH)D levels of subjects with different occupations, and the levels of peasant subjects were higher than other occupations, but no significant difference in vitamin D insufficiency rate and deficiency rate.5.Significant differences showed in serum 25(OH)D levels of subjects living in different residences, and the levels of subjects living in cities were higher than those living in rural areas, vitamin D insufficiency rate and deficiency rate were significantly different. But no significant differences in serum 25(OH)D levels, vitamin D insufficiency rate and deficiency rate between subjects living coastal and inland areas.6.Significant differences showed in serum 25(OH)D levels with different blood sampling time, and the levels of the blood sampled in third quarter were higher than blood sampled in other time, and vitamin D insufficiency rate and deficiency rate were significantly lower than in other time.7.Multivariate linear regression and logistic regression showed that gender and whether living in coastal areas had no significant correlation with serum 25(OH)D level, vitamin D insufficiency rate and deficiency rate. But age, occupation, whether living in cities and time of blood sampling were significant correlated with serum 25(OH)D level, vitamin D insufficiency rate and deficiency rate, and were the main factor influencing the vitamin D insufficiency and deficiency.Conclusions:1.Serum 25(OH)D levels were generally low in Han adult people in Shandong, the average level was 14.25 ± 8.23,94.1%of the population of individuals were in the state of vitamin D insufficiency,78.5%of the individuals were in the state of vitamin D deficiency;.2.The nutritional status of vitamin D of Han adult people in Shandong was significantly correlated with age, occupation, whether living in cities and time of blood sampling, and uncorrelated with gender and whether living in coastal areas.3.The risk factors for vitamin D deficiency are:(1)women under the age of 30 and older persons over 70 years of age;(2)occupations of civil servants, cadres, students and teachers;(3)long-term residence in urban areas;(4)winter.
