Abstract/Summary:
Since cancer has seriously affected human health and life,it is necessary to provide approaches for diagnosis and effective therapies.Due to the great advantages of nano materials, they have been extensively investigated for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. In particular, theranostic nanomedicines that integrate diagnosis and therapy into a single nanoscale platform are playing an increasingly important role in cancer treatment. In this thesis, two kinds of nanomaterials were developed for cancer diagnosis and therapy.Polyacrylic acid functionalized Co9Se8 nanoplates(PAA-Co9Se8 nanoplates)is a new 2D nanomateria.PAA-Co9Se8 nanoplates have many advantages, such asfacile synthesis,acid-stable property. However, rare works have been done to study PAA-Co9Se8 nanoplates in biomedical application.Herein,we firstly report the synthesis of biocompatible PAA-Co9Se8 nanoplates for biomedical applications. We demonstrate that PAA-Co9Se8 nanoplates can also exhibit strong near-infrared(NIR)absorbance,and they can serve as photothermal therapy(PTT)agents and photoacoustic imaging(PAI)contrast agents.Clearly,PAA-Co9Se8 nanoplates are very promising theranostic nanoagents for biomedical applications.A straight forward and green synthetic strategy for hollow CoPt alloy nanoparticles(HCoPt-ANPs)using plant polyphenols as assisted agents is reported for the first time. The as-prepared HCoPt-ANPs have good magnetic properties, photothermal performances, and good bioconpatibility.Further studies show that HCoPt-ANPs can be effectively implemented for magnetic resonance(MRI)guided PTT.HCoPt-ANPs also enable to load drugs to form nanocomposites, which show pH responsive drug release for chemo-photothermal combination therapy. This work would bring new insights for the green synthesis of hollow nanoparticles and expand these biocompatible nanoparticles for theranostic applications.
