Background:Infants diarrhoea was one of the most important causes for children's morbidity and mortality worldwide,especially in developing countries.The main pathogen of viral diarrhea were rotavirus(rotavirus,RV),human caliciviruses(HucV),astrovirus(AstV)and intestinal adenovirus(AdeV).Children viral diarrhea made huge influence on children's health and brought great economic burden to the society and family.It is important to strengthen the monitor of children viral enteritis etiology,perform the basic and clinical research of viral diarrhea timely,effectively,safely and economically,so as to avoid the occurrence of critical patients and reduce unnecessary waste of medical resources.Objective:To explore the etiology and prevalence characteristics of children viral diarrhea in Hangzhou,and provide clinical basis for early intervention and reasonable prevention.Methods:We obtained a fresh stool specimens of every diarrhea outpatient child aged from 40 days to 5 years between March 2014 and February 2016 at the first people's hospital of Xiaoshan,Hangzhou.We also detected four intestinal virus and stool routine and made a face to face questionnaire survey for the parents.All the content was informed and approved by the patients' guardians.We obtained written consent from the guardians.The research project was discussed and permitted by the Ethics Committee of the first people's hospital of Xiaoshan.Results:According to the results of laboratory tests from 871 stool specimens,the highest positive rate was 46.27%from rotavirus,followed by 2.07%from intestinal adenovirus,then 0.57%and 0.23%from caliciviruses and astrovirus,respectively.The 422 positive samples showed that the results of stool routine were as follows:400 stool routine showed as yellow green dilute waters stool or egg drop soup sample without red blood cells;392 showed as white blood cells(0 to 1/HP),23 showed as white blood cells(2-5/HP),7 showed as white blood cells(6-14/HP);Fat ball(+)?(+ + +)can be found in 78 cases.The results of comparing the four kinds of virus in sex,age,lifestyle,and season were as follows:The positive detection rates of male and female diarrhea virus were 49.49%(204/523)and 53.08%(224/384),respectively,there was no significant difference between the groups;The positive detection rate of diarrhea patients of lifestyle in urban and rural areas were 49.49%and 47.09%,respectively,there was no significant difference;The positive detection rates of virus diarrhea patients from March 2014 to February 2015 and from March 2015 to February 2016 were 50.11%and 46.79%,respectively,there was no significant difference.In age,month,season,the highest age detection rate of rotavirus was 66.28%,which is from the 12 months to 18 months;The highest month detection rate of rotavirus was 66.3%,which is from November,and the highest season detection rate of rotavirus was 54.81%,which is from winter,there were all statistically significant(P<0.05).We couldn't make a chi-square test because the other three virus didn't have enough sample size.Conclusion:The virus infection of children diarrhea in hangzhou had possessesed a certain proportion.Rotavirus was the major pathogen of children viral diarrhea in Hangzhou,which would provide us a better choice in the treatment.On the one hand,we could reduce the unnecessary antibiotic;On the other hand,we should strengthen the promotion of rotavirus vaccine,so as to improve the children's quality of life and reduce the morbidity and mortality of children diarrhea,because we have a better choice in the treatment.
