Objective:To explore the inherent pathogenesis of the CTO lesions development, to provide scientific basis for prevention and treatment, and improve the prognosis of the patients with CTO lesions throughanalyzing on clinical data of the patients with chronic coronary arterial total occlusion in a hospital located in Changchun between 2014 and 2015.Methods:Based on the analysis including the age, gender, body mass index, educational level, assistant detection, risk factors and the result of interventional treatment of the 462 patients who have been diagnosed with CTO lesion by coronary artery angiography, and treated with percutaneous coronary intervention in the hospital located in Changchun between January 2014 and December 2015. We discussed the occurrence of the CTO lesions and its related risk factors, and also try to find out some related factors that correlated with the successful PCI in the CTO lesions by multiple logistic regression analysis. Results:In total, 462 patients with CTO whose age were mainly distributed in the 50~59 years old group and 60~69 years old group, accounting for29.4% and 37.0%, respectively, were included. The number of male patients was 323 cases, accounting for 69.9%. There were 195 patients whose BMI was over 24kg/m2. By comparing the patients with history of hypertension, diabetes and myocardial infarction in different genders, wefound that hypertension history is more often observed in the females(P=0.007). Based on the lipid levels comparison of the different gender in different age group, we found significant difference of the total cholesterol(TC)(P=0.035) level of the younger than 50 years old group in different genders. And the TC(P<0.001) and high density lipoprotein cholesterol(P=0.015) level are also obviously different in male and female in the 60~69 years old group. The TC(P=0.005) and triglyceride(P<0.001) were clearly different in men and women in the older than 70 years old group. We found that the serum creatinine level was obviously higher in the male than in the female(P<0.01) in all age groups, according to the comparison of blood pressure, fasting plasma glucose and creatinine levels in different genders among disparate age groups. There are significant differences about inducement(P=0.008) and serum creatinine level(P=0.001) between the successful PCI group and the failure group based on the single factor analysis. Finally, the multiple logistic regression analysis showed that the inducement was correlated with the successful rate of the interventional treatment with the CTO lesions. Therefore, The inducement before getting diseaseare risk factors for the successful PCI in CTO patients(OR=2.196,95%CI1.195-4.036,P=0.011).Conclusion:Subjects with CTO lesions are more often in the older than 60 years and the males. They are also more common in the overweight and obesity patients based on the BMI. The inducement before getting disease is the risk factor for successful percutaneous coronary interventions in the patients with CTO lesions.
