Characteristics Of Pause-extension Under Different Prosodic Hierarchy Of Spastic Cerebral Palsy Children And The Correlation With Between Their Time And Speech Intelligibility

Pause-extension is pause between two syllables and the extension of syllables spoken language.The duration misallocation have bad affect on the audience about the syntax structure and level,emotion,etc semantic information acquisition,would also reduce the speaker’s speech intelligibility.In clinical,we found that Spastic cerebral palsy children’s speech exists too much pause-extension that lead to reduce speech articulation and sense.However,existing research about pause-extension still stay at the experience level,lack of empirical research.The first study of this research is the the duration of pause-extension influenced from prosodic hierarchical,or not.The second problem is the correlation between duration of pause-extension under prosodic hierarchy and speech articulation.The third question is,characteristics of different types of initial-final appear abnormity pause-extension.To solve these problem comparing different subjects’(including school-age ordinary children and children with spastic cerebral palsy children)the duration of pause-extension,to analyze the characters;Tested the correlation of two types of subjects’ duration of pause-extension under different prosodic hierarchyies and speech intelligibility respectively,to analyze relation of them.On the basis of them,the research summarize different initial-final two types children of difficulty level in pause-extension.The main results of this paper are as follows:1.The characteristics of pause-extension in spastic cerebral palsy children under different prosodic hierarchyOrdinary children duration of pause-extension is significantly lower than spastic cerebral palsy children;prosodic hierarchy increase,duration of pause-extension increase.2.The duration of children’s pause-extension under different prosodic hierarchy and the correlation of speech intelligibility and duration of pause-extension.There is a significant correlation of duration of pause under different prosodic hierarchy and consonants intelligibility of word and sentence,;there was a significant correlation of duration of prolong under different prosodic hierarchy and vowels intelligibility of word and sentence.While,the duration of pause and prlong of spastic cerebral palsy children have significant correlation with consonants and vowels intelligibility of word and sentence.3.Incidence of abnormal pause-extension of different types initial-final in wo kinds of childrenThe types of initials and finals have influence on incidence of abnormal pause-extension.More difficult in initials and finals are,higher incidence of abnormal pause-extension is.
