Objective:This study aims to explore the changes in ventilation and airway resistance indexes of the non-specific pulmonary function(NSPF),as well as to discuss its causes and formation mechanism,in order to improve the understanding of NSPF.Methods:Review the pulmonary function reports including V-V curves as well as TLC measured by body plethysmograph or gas dilution techniques in Qilu Hospital of Shandong University during 2012.1.1 to 2015.12.31.The including criteria for NSPF:(1)FEV1/FVC ?70%,(2)with descending FEV1 and(or)FVC(<80%pre);(3)normal TLC(?80%pre).Review the general data,etiology,clinical characteristics and pulmonary function indexes of NSPF,compare them with normal group,mild obstructive group and mile restrictive group.Then select those lung function tests in NSPF?normal group and mile obstructive group who had IOS,analyzes the following indexes of the three groups:resonance frequency,R5%,R20%,Rz,Rp,X5act-pre,R5-R20%.At last,we compare the pulmonary function indexes of NSPF due to different causes that is restrictive lung diseases(restrictive disease subgroup,including paraquat poisoning and interstitial pneumonia)and airway obstructive disease(airway obstructive subgroup,including asthma and chronic bronchitis).All statistical analyses are done by SPSS 20.0.Results:1.For all,we review 3638 lung function testes with TLC,and select 447 NSPF,125 mile obstructive ones,128 mile restrictive ones and 1313 normal ones.From those,we select 18 NSPF,18 mild obstructive ones and 23 normal lung function tests who have ios results.In our study,78.1%receivers of NSPF have respiratory system diseases including 12 asthma,7 chronic bronchitis,80 paraquat poisoning and 29 interstitial pneumonia.2.We compare NSPF group with the other three groups on indexes such as PEF?FEF75%pred?FEF50%pred?FEF25%and MMEF%pred.We find that the averages of PEF%pre?FEF75%pred?FEF50%pred?FEF25%pred and MMEF%pre in NSPF group are significantly smaller to the normal group and mile restrictive group(P<0.001),but significantly higher than mile obstructive group.Compare with the normal group,RV and RV/TLC in NSPF are significantly higher(P<0.01).3.Comparing with the normal group,the Fres,Rp,R5%pre,R5-R20%pre,X5 act-pre of NSPF group are dramatically higher.When compare NSPF group with mile obstructive group,there are no significant difference on all the indexes(P>0.05).4.Both airway obstructive diseases and restrictive lung diseases can represent as NSPF,but compare to restrictive subgroup(n=99),obstructive subgroup(n=12)have lower airway velocity indexes(FEV1%pre?FEF25%pre?FEF50%pre?FEF75%pre?MMEF%pre)but a higher volume indexes(RV/TLC and TLC).Conclusion1.NSPF is a common lung function with distinct feature which should be paid attention.2.The airway resistance in NSPF is higher with primarily periphery airway viscousresistance increase.3.Both airway obstructive diseases and restrictive lung diseases can represent as NSPF,but compare to NSPF caused by restrictive lung diseases,NSPF caused by airway obstructive diseases have lower airway velocity indexes.
