number of CO in a short period of time.Over-inhalation of CO gas may lead to acute carbon monoxide poisoning,furthermore the number of poisoning and death in a short time,that is the reason why CO poisoning take the first position among acute poisoning in China.Acute carbon monoxide poisoning can be dangerous to the body’ s organs,especially to brain injury.It could be cured promptly if the CO intoxicated patients treat in time,but it has 10%-40%of patients with the disease may suffer severe brain damage after the fake recovery of consciousness in 2-60 days,which is clinically called as Delayed encephalopathy after acute carbon monoxide poisoning(DEACMP).In recent years,the number of deaths due to acute CO poisoning rise year by year along with our country industrialization progress of life,the mortality rate takes the first position on the number of acute poisoning in China.Acute CO poisoning is refers to the phenomenon of CO enter human body in a short time by the skin,mucous membranes,such as large respiratory tract,enteron,and chemical react with the body material,which cause the body organ dysfunction,involvement in patients with heart,brain,kidney,peripheral nerves and skeletal muscles,skin and other multiple organ tissue damage.Symptoms of this disease onset nasty,heavy,and the condition change from time to time,the person that weigh often life-threatening light person can easily leave sequela,especially in young patients,by the high 40%chance of CO poisoning cause complications if not timely diagnosis and emergency treatment.It is critical to treat the patients in CO poisoning timely and appropriate.It is common in primary hospital treat late or too early to stop treatment because the lack of knowledge acute carbon monoxide poisoning which provide the chance of complication of the dease.Most of CO poisoning patients can be cured if treat in time,but there are about 10%-40%of patients have a fake in the consciousness recovery.The so-called.fake the period is refers to the patients with acute CO poisoning in poisoning about 2-60 d become better,and then show serious brain damage after that,the damage is called Delayed encephalopathy in clinical(of encephalopathy after acute carbon monoxide poisoning,DEACMP).Premature stop treatment in the basic-le-vel hospitals will cause or aggravate the occurrence of DEACMP.The clinical manifestations of DEACMP diverse,no specificity,the main symptoms for cognitive dysfunction,mental disorder,extrapyramidal dysfunction and personality changes,and it can appear even dementia,epilepsy,mental disease,Parkinson’ s,blindness,mainland cognitive dysfunction such as incontinence,which seriously affect the health and life quality of patients.Therefore it plays an important role on the treatment of disgnosia caused by DEACMP.Meanwhile,according to some authoritative research findings,there has been no unified standard for pathogenesis and treatment of DEACMP,and thus clinical researchers has laid their stress on establishment of effective therapeutic schedule on it.ObjectiveTo observe clinical.effect of acupuncture combined with Hyperbaric Oxygenation Therapy(HBOT)in treatment of disgnosia caused by DEACMP,by contrast with simple hyperbaric oxygenation treatment.The purpose of this study was to provide evidence for optimizing therapeutic regimen for the treatment.MethodsA total of 50 patients were randomly divided into two groups:Group I(Treatment group,25 patients)by acupuncture combined by HBOT and Group II(Control group,25 patients)by simple HBOT.Treatment group:first,to receive acupuncture therapy on some acupoints.The first group:Sishencong,Lateral line 2 of forehead,Lateral line 3 of forehead,Guanyuan,Qihai,Hegu,Taichong,Houxi,Yongquan,Sanyinjiao,Zusanli,Juegu.The second group:Sishencong,Fengchi,Fengfu,Xinshu,Ganshu,Shenshu,Houxi,Hegu,Yongquan,Sanyinjiao,Juegu.Two groups of acupoints selected alternately;second,to treat by hyperbaric oxygenation of appropriate ’pressure-time interval’ plans on basis of the patient’ sage,poisoning capacity,condition,psychologic status and vital signs’ monitoring data.Control group:to treat by hyperbaric oxygenation with operation above.Both groups were assigned in three courses of treatment,each of which contained once a day for ten times in constant and two days off.Besides,this study evaluated the curative effect by means of Minimum Mental State Examination(MMSE),Activity of Daily Living Scale(ADL)and statistical analysis before and after the whole treatment.ResultsAfter three courses of treatment,the different scores of two groups by means of MMSE and ADL(P<0.01)before and after the treatments suggested that the therapies were effective.Moreover,there existed remarkable difference of MMSE and ADL(P<0.01)of effective rates between treatment group and control group afterwards,and treatment group stayed ahead of control group.By comparison of the curative efficiency,overall efficacy of the treatment group was superior to control group by rank sum test(P<0.05).ConclusionThese results confirm that acupuncture combined with HBOT in treatment of disgnosia caused by DEACMP obtain more satisfactory curative effect,sincetotal effective rate of treatment group was more positive than that of control group.It’ s certainly worth promoting this complex treatment,as it’ s application is economic,secure and healing efficacy. |
