Objective:To observe the GPR30(G-protein coupled estrogen receptor 30) and 5-HT(5-Hydroxytryptamine, serotonin) expression of colonic mucosa mast cell(MC) for IBS(Irritable bowel syndrome) patients and discuss the relevance of GPR30 and 5-HT of colonic mucosa mast cell(MC).Methods:102 patients in digestive system department of Hainan People's Hospital were selected and divided into IBS group(72 patients); and Control(normal control) group(30 patients). Every patient was taken colonic mucosa under the colonoscope. The immunofluorescent double staining was applied to dye MC, GPR30 and 5-HT, respectively, and dyeing and counting were recorded and analyzed.Results:1. The positive MC antibody expression in IBS group was obviously higher than Control group(P<0.05).2. Positive coexpression of MC antibody and GPR30 antibody in IBS group was significantly higher Control group(P<0.01).3.Positive coexpression of MC antibody and 5-HT antibody was significantly higher than Control group(P<0.01).4.Through the correlation analysis of Pearson, there was positive correlation between GPR30 and 5-HT of GPR30 and 5-HT of colonic mucosa mast cell(MC)(r=0.695, P<0.05).Conclusions:GPR 30 and 5-HT expression on the MC may play an important role on the pathophysiological process of IBS. The occurrence and development of GPR30 and 5-HT in IBS may have positive correlation.
