| Objective To investigate the effects of inflammatory reaction of thymomas with myasthenia gravis(MG) treated by traditional thoracotomy and suture of minimally invasive surgery.Method A total of 40 thymomas patients(Mssaoka I and II) with myasthenia gravis from August 2014 to June 2015 in Qilu hospital of Shandong university were treated by traditional thoracotomy(M7,F13) as control group(n=20) or video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery(VATS, M8,F12) as treatment group(n=20). The serum levels of interleukin-6(IL-6), IL-8,Tumor Necrosis Factor-α(TNF-α), C-reactive protein(CRP)and CORT was measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)methods at before anesthesia( T1), after anesthesia( T2), 2h after skin cut(T3), 24 h post-operation(T4), 48 h post-operation(T5) and 72 h post-operation(T6)respectively.Operation time, blood loss, the retain time of thoracic duct, amount of postoperative drainage, postoperative activity and healing time were also reported. The data statistics analysis by SPSS 17.0 softwareResults The serum levels of IL-6, IL-8, TNF-α, CRP and CORT had no significant difference between T1 and T2, T2 and T3(t=0.114~1.860,P>0.05)in both control group and treatment group. But the serum levels of these factors were obviously higher than that of before the operation, commonly they peaks 24 h ours postoperatively( t=3.102 ~23.136,P<0.01), and also was higher at T6 than that of before the operation(t=2.900~12.565,P<0.01), except the level of TNF-α recovered rapidlly to the level of before the operation(t=0.946,P>0.05)in the VATS group. The operation time, postoperative drainage tube indwelling time and incision healing time in the VATS was lower than that in the control group(t=2.044~2.696,P<0.05).Conclusions VATS could be widely applied in clinical by lower operative trauma, reducing the degree of inflammatory reaction. |
