Objective: To estimate the effects of LDL-C level on the incidence of major adverse cardiovascular events in the patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI).Methods: 218 patients after PCI were assigned into three groups according to their preoperative level of LDL-C: low level of LDL-C(n=88, <1.68-2.38 mmol/L), moderate level of LDL-C(n=80,2.38-3.08 mmol/L), high level of LDL-C(n=50, 3.08~3.79 mmol/L). After one year of follow-up, we compared the incidence of the major adverse cardiovascular events after PCI among the three groups. Results: There were significant difference among the three groups(?2=13.580, P<0.001). Compared with the incidence of the major adverse cardiovascular events after PCI among the three groups, the incidence of the major adverse cardiovascular events was significantly elevated in the high level of LDL-C(P<0.001).Conclusion: Low level of LDL-C can reduce the incidence of the major adverse cardiovascular events after PCI. |
