Purpose: lateral cervical spine X-ray measurement of various anatomical parameters and statistical analysis, to understand trends and differences between the parameters of cervical segments, for artificial cervical disc prosthesis designed to provide theoretical data, and based on these data design a kind of meet people anatomical features of the new artificial cervical disc prosthesis. Biomechanical finite element through artificial cervical disc prosthesis analysis to explore the structural design of artificial cervical disc impact on biomechanical changes before cervical artificial disc replacement. Methods: 1 In the Songjiang University Town randomly selected 350 volunteers, young adults aged 20-35, neutral position, flexion, cervical hyperextension position to shoot, lateral X-ray, to exclude vertebral agenesis, obvious morphological abnormalities as well as suffering from trauma, tumors, etc. may result in inaccurate measurements by sorting and filtering information, the 334 volunteers who have measured neutral, flexion, hyperextension radiographs C2 / 3, C3 / 4, C4 / 5, C5 / 6, C6 / 7 intervertebral leading edge, trailing edge and the center of the disc space height, disc angle, statistics and analysis.2 According to the data collected, the design of artificial cervical disc, is more in line with people anatomical features; material of this new type of artificial disc used in the ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene and PEEK as possible, such as a higher MR compatibility based materials, such to ensure its radiological data on postoperative follow-up causing minimal disruption; prosthesis surface of hydroxyapatite coating to ensure good biocompatibility prosthesis and bone conduction.3 The data of normal volunteers by CT tomography cervical disc, obtained through Mimics software 3D Reconstruction, ANSA software use Boolean operations to generate a finite element model of cervical disc, pre-treatment, mesh, finite element analysis COMSOL Multiphysics software to calculate the activity and stress distribution under different circumstances. Finite element model of cervical C5-C6 segments established by the CT scan data images to simulate artificial cervical disc replacement on the cervical spine model, calculation and analysis before and after the replacement of the cervical spine cervical spine biomechanics of movement in common. Results: 1 Neutral position, flexion, hyperextension cervical spine radiographs show significant differences between the cervical spine clearance height, gender, location, space, posture, flexion and extension, the leading edge of the disc and rear than the middle range of motion large margin, flexion were significantly compressed copies before cervical disc and the central part.2 Artificial cervical disc from the upper and lower halves of joint structure, ultra high molecular weight polyethylene nucleus fixed to the lower end plate, the plate is highly polished concave bell, and the nucleus to form a joint cooperation; top and bottom of each plate prosthesis Uniform six teeth down, inverted tooth fixed immediately inserted into the upper and lower vertebrae achieve.3 Artificial disc replacement surgery segment similar range of motion, activity is also similar, very good to retain the activity of the vertebral body. Conclusion: 1 Under physiological conditions, flexion and extension, the movement accounted for most of the front of the intervertebral disc, intervertebral disc design of the entire range of motion, manufacturing and clinical use, the critical height and activity goals to maintain the intervertebral space.2 The development of artificial cervical disc prosthesis in line with national testing standards. In terms of the cervical spine kinematics, artificial cervical disc implant, vertebral segments stretching exercises, about increased stability of lateral bending and rotational movement. In the cervical spine mechanics, artificial cervical disc is designed to meet the requirements of the intervertebral disc stress near the structure, and the disc itself, the mechanical performance requirements. After the artificial cervical disc replacement bearing capacity, structural strength, stability requirements are up to disc.
