Objective Two new methods for determination of quinolone was succefully builded basing on the introduction of electron acceptor, Eu, Tb and TCNE(Tetracyanoethylene), and the principle of the fluorescence enhancement was discussed also. The Structure of Tb-OFLO and Eu-OFLO was studied by X-ray diffraction.Methods Tb-OFLO and Eu-OFLO were hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by routine methods(IR) and single-crystal X-ray crystallography diffraction. And successfully Using the Eu Fluorescence probe in the content determination of OFLO. With TCNE as electron acceptor, four new charge-transfer complexes were compounded, namely, TCNECFLO, TCNE-OFLO, TCNE-NFLO, TCNE-GFLO, and used for determinating the content of quinolones. Eu-OFLO as fluorescent probe to study its interaction with calf thymus DNA, and used to determine the content.Results By suitable reaction conditions, Eu and Tb compound stable crystalline complexes with OFLO. The structure was analysis by X-ray diffraction. By suitable reaction temperature, reaction time and pH, TCNE and quinolones form four new stable charge-transfer complexes, and the formation mechanism was discussed. Above two types of fluorescent probe was applied in the centration determination of quinolones and the result has high sensitivity.Conclusions Two new crystals, Eu-OFLO and Tb-OFLO was successfully synthersized by hydrothermal methods for studing the interaction between metal ions and quinolones. TCNE and quinolones to form a stable charge-transfer complex and can be applied to the determination of quinolones, the results accurate and effective.
