Anthracycline as first-line treatment of breast cancer, although experienced decades of new drug research and development, technological innovation, the cardiotoxicity of anthracyclines in the clinical treatment can not be ignored. It also makes the clinical use of anthracycline drugs more reasonable dosage of strict calculation due to different individuals, which in order to avoid serious cardiotoxicity, and at the same time use the full dose to achieve therapeutic purposes. On the basis of some related research from the 20's century, currently widely use sodium chloride solution, resulting in the dissolve difficulties and incomplete dissolution. The objective of this issue :To investigate the solubility and stability of epirubicin hydrochloride powder in 0.9% sodium chloride solution, 5% glucose solution, and 10% glucose solution which are clinical commonly used three kinds of menstruums.METHODS:Domestic(Ai Dasheng) and imports(epirubicin) epirubicin hydrochloride respectively in the three kinds of menstruums is configured to clinical commonly used concentration, and use high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) analysis methods, respectively, to determine the dissolution rate and stability after completely dissolved.RESULTS: Epirubicin hydrochloride in 0. 9% sodium chloride solution reveal the hardest and fastest in 5% glucose solution. The stabilities of different kinds of epirubicin hydrochloride in different menstruums in 12 hours have no significant difference.CONCLUSION: 5% glucose solution has no obvious incompatibility with epirubicin hydrochloride, and dissolves rapidly and completely, and can guarantee the reliable stability as well, which should replace the currently used 0.9% sodium chloride solution as the standard solvent for epirubicin hydrochloride.
