| Objective: The effect of Shiquan Dabu Decoction to TGF- beta 1 signal path expression level after radical resection of rectal cancer was detected by the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA). Then the value of Shiquan Dabu Decoction to reduce the postoperative recurrence and metastasis of colorectal cancer was studied.Methords: 60 patients were separated into two groups randomly : Control Group,Observation Group(the patients began to take Shiquan Dabu Decoction about 7 days after operation),14 days after operation, all the patients in both groups began to receive chemotherapy. Asting venous blood was draw off respectively before operation, after radical resection, finishing medication and after operation 1 year and then kept in refrigerator. The serums were detected using TGF- beta 1 ELISA Kit provided by Shanghai Bo and the detection was in strict accordance with the instruction of the Kit.Results:The serum levels of TGF- beta 1 after radical resection of rectal cancer were obviously less than that of preoperative(p < 0.01).The serum levels of TGF- beta 1 after medication were obviously less than that after radical resection of rectal cancer(p < 0.01).After medication,the serum levels of TGF- beta 1 of the patients in Observation Group were less than that of the patients in Control Group(p < 0.01).One year after operation,through tracking observation it was found that there were 4 patients with cancer recurrence in the Control Group and 1 patient with cancer recurrence in Observation Group(p < 0.01).Conclusion: The combination of Shiquan Dabu Decoction uniting chemotherapy can significantly reduce TGF- beta 1 signal path expression level after radical resection of rectal cancer, strengthening the body's immune surveillance,effectively reverse the function of immune suppressor, and reduce the recurrence and metastasis of colorectal cancer caused by immune escape of tumor cell. |
