Accurate and efficient testing of the blood glucose is crucial for the prevention and control of diabetes.Highly sensitive biosensorsbased on electrochemical method have gained extensive attentions and application in in many areas including the bio-medicine industry, the analytical chemistry, the environmental protection, the public security, and the food safety. In this study, the glucose sensor based on nanotechnology and electrochemical method were applied in the low-concentration glucose measurements. A low-cost and non-invasive glucose measurement system based on the embedded technology was developed. The performance and reliability of the measurement system were verified by the test of ultra-low-concentration glucose solution. This work of this thesis includes the implementation of electrochemical method in the measurement of glucose at ultra-low concentration, the hardware and software design of measurement system, and the verification experiments of glucose measurement. The system hardware consists of the analog potentiostat circuit, the signal conditioning circuit, the MSP430 minimum system with analog-to-digital data acquisition module, andthe digital-to-analog converter module. The schematic design of printed circuit board (PCB) is also presented.Software design includes the low-level driver of the embedded module (MSP430), the high-level data view software, and the data storage and processing. Meanwhile, the portable application has been achieved using the modular software design of electrochemical measurement and the SD card for data storage. Moreover, verification experiments of the glucose measurement are presented and discussed in detail. The system stability and reliability were tested using the cyclic voltammetry. Tests of the ultralow concentration glucose solution were performed using the system developed in this study. The results showed the system performance could meet the designed requirements as well as application standard. Finally, the application of this system in the bioanalysis and tests was further explored. Based on the electrochemical method, the tests of peak potential of the tumor cellswere performed, and the preliminary results demonstrated the feasibility of its application in the detection of tumor cells.
