Gamma-Knife is an advanced radiation therapy treatment method. It is very popular among doctors and patients for its advantages including high dose rate, good focus, good treatment effect, fast and secure, etc. However, the edge dose distribution of Gamma-Knife radiation field changes very steep, any radiation error may have a serious impact on the treatment effect, therefore Gamma-Knife treatment plan must undergo a rigorous dose verification before implementation. The film dosimeter is commonly used in dose verification, the film that contains dose information is gated by putting the film into the module and implementing the treatment plans. The goal of this thesis is to develop a film dose analysis software to assist the medical physicists to do a good job in dose verification before radiation.Based on the analyzes of the function requirements and business processes for the software, this thesis introduces the development platform to build software and programming environments, and describes the module and the architecture design to achieve the software implementation of various functions. Then, this thesis analyzes the problems encountered in the process of image display and proposes the corresponding solutions on the base of the processes including reading film images and real-time displaying pixel gray values or dose values, the factors that affect the film gray- dose curve are obtained and the best fitting number of function models is determined by comparing the standard deviations of different fitting curve images. Additionally, chain code method is proposed by combines the core idea of chain code method and grid method after introducing several commonly used isodose line tracing algorithm and comparing of their advantages and disadvantages, the method of using the image edge computing portal-centric approach to solve the noise and artificial mark on the image edge extraction problem is obtained. Finally, we briefly introduce the drawing method of portal outline, which can automatically locate the machining center as well as compute machinery Full Width Half Maximum(FWHM) and penumbra around according to the portal contour.The software designed by this thesis is tested in the light of functional requirements, the test results show that the algorithm design in this thesis is able to position center and mechanical center correctly, calculate the deviation between them and can draw isodose line fast. Implement the functions of displaying film image and any point gray values or dose values, establishing the gray dose curve, drawing portal contour line and automatically calculating FWHM and penumbra.
