| Objective Triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC),a distinct subgroup of which is composed of breast cancer,are characterized by higher rank in histology,power invasive,earlier local recurrence and far metastasis,worse prognosis compared to the other types of breast cancer,relapse and metastasis get up to the peak on 1th to 3th years,5-year survival rates is limited.Due to the lack of endocrine therapy and indication for Molecular targeted therapy,western medicine still has certain limitations for revolution in TNBC,there is no elaborate treatment current.TCM(Traditional Chinese Medicine)got some credit at Cures for TNBC in recent years.The research observed effects on quality of life,Chinese medical symptoms and long-term survival rate for TNBC patients in stage ? and stage ? by use doxorubicin / cyclophosphamide sequential docetaxel(AC-T)as adjuvant treatment in chemotherapy with or withoutadditional Chaihushugan powder,the objective evaluation of the curative effect on treatment of TNBC by TCM,to provided theoretical basis for guide the clinical work.Methods This research taking 100 patients in stage ? and stage ? whoes had been tissue pathology confirmed TNBC by The Hubei Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine oncology and Center of radiation and chemotherapy of The Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University from January 2008 to January 2010,and whoes that total need and willing to receive adjuvant chemotherapy after surgery as the treatment group(Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine group)and control group(western medicine group)according to random method,of each 50 cases.Via the treat with statistics,in the degree of illness and general sititution,there is no outstanding difference between the two groups.Control group receive AC-T plan adjuvant chemotherapy after surgery: both doxorubicin 60 mg/? and Cyclophosphamide 600 mg/? was given on days 1 and 21 days as a cycle for 4 cycles;then docetaxel 75 mg/? was given on days 1 and 21 days as a cycle for 4 cycles,patients were taken into treatment based on symptoms such as stomach-protecting,antiemetic,nutritional support and so on.Treatment group take traditional chinese medicine formulation Chaihu Shugan powder modification according to symptoms based on AC-T plan adjuvant chemotherapy,decoct with water to 500 ml,take a dose a day and provides twice a day,orally Chinese native medicine at least three years after chemotherapy.When the treatment started,review CEA,CA125,CAl53,B mode ultrasonography(neck,collarbone,axillary lymph nodes,breast),chest and abdominal and pelvis CT,brain MRI,whole body bone ECT every two months within one year and half a year over one years,and compare to result of view when treatment start.Both local recurrence and distantt metastasis can be called breast cancer recurrence,disease-free survival(DFS)refers to time that from diagnosis to find recurrence for the first time,overall survival(OS)time refers to time that from diagnosis to the end of follow-up or death,here follow-up time is 6-years by January 2009.Finally,we concluded by related data were analyzed statistically with SPSS17.0 software.Results(1)The comparison of two groups of tradition Chinese medicine symptom: the treatment group could obviously alleviate the patient's TCM symptoms,the total effective rates was 72%,and the control group was 50%,there was a significant different between them(P < 0.05).(2)The comparison of the two groups of the quality of life :the treatment group in quality of life score improved stability rate was 84%,and the control group was 72%,the two groups with significant difference(P < 0.05).(3)The comparison of the two groups of the long-term outcomes:the treatment group's five-year survival rate was 88%,significantly higher than the control group which was 70%,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).What is more,the treatment group's disease-free rate was 66% which is higher than the other group.And the treatment group showed Lower recurrence and metastasis rates.Conclusion The result of the research shows that,the patients of triple-negative breast cancer took Chinese Medicine which was called as Chaihu Shugan powder,could effectively relief the tradition Chinese medicine symptom,also could improve the overall survival rate and disease-free rate,reduce the local recurrent rate and distant metastasis.Finally improved the quality of life,prolong lifetime.So,the traditional Chinese medicine did have a significant advantage in treating triple-negative breast cancer,it is worth to promote in clinical. |
