Objective to analyze clinical characteristics and post-operative follow-up of moyamoya disease patients whom accept intracranial and extracranial revascularization in neurosurgery of the first affiliated hospital of Nanchang University, exploring the types of moyamoya disease, age distribution, sex ratio and other clinical features as well as post-operative outcomes. Methods Collecting information of 558 patients with moyamoya disease from November2009 to January 2016 in neurosurgery of the first affiliated hospital of Nanchang University.Which accept intracranial and extracranial Revascularization.Making the Statistical analysis of clinical features and analysising long-term follow-up of the the surgery's effectResults the patients of 558 cases included in the study, with the mean age of 46.4 ± 9.8years.Which with 267 male and 291 female, and the ratio is 1:1.1.Cerebral hemorrhage with 102 cases(18.3%),456 cases have the phenomenon of non-hemorrhagic(81.7%).All the age distribution appear with two peaks, one is 4-10 in childhood, and the other is 40-50 middle age.Among them,Cerebral hemorrhage patients appear with 3 peak age,namely,31-35,38-45,49-51.The age with 4-10 years among children is a high incidence of ischemic period, another is 40-50 middle age.Common concomitant diseases of moyamoya include hypertension disease(20.6%),diabetes(3%),high blood fat(2%).5% of moyamoya disease appear with complicated aneurysms, anterior communicating artery aneurysms is most common.Non-hemorrhagic symptom in patients with moyamoya disease: TIA(49%),headaches and dizziness(33.6%),body movement, sensory disturbance(27.6%),language impairment(5.3%),epilepsy(4.3%),blurred vision(3.7%)mental disorders(2.7%).Predilection follows ventricle of cerebral hemorrhage(51%),the basal ganglia(36.3%),Temporal lobe(4.9%),SAH(4.9%).Mean follow-up period was 14± 8 months after the surgery,11.4% non-hemorrhagic moyamoya disease symptom have completely resolved,77% symptoms in patients have partial resolved,10.2%symptoms in patients have no significant changes,1.4% symptoms get worse or death;Cerebral hemorrhage type account for 4.8% in patients with recurrent cerebral hemorrhage.Conclusion1,women are slightly more than men in patients with moyamoya disease, but there is no significant difference among women and men in incidence of Cerebral hemorrhage. There are High risk age group in moyamoya disease. Most moyamoya disease commonly associated with hypertension, diabetes, high blood fat.5% of moyamoya disease complicated aneurysms, anterior communicating artery aneurysms are most common.the most common clinical symptoms of Non-hemorrhagic moyamoya disease is TIA and the Headache.moyamoya disease appear with intraventricular hemorrhagic The most.2,surgical treatment for Cerebral hemorrhage and non-hemorrhagic moyamoya disease have a certain effect.
