Research Background and Objective:Recently, global scholars conduct systematic Anthropometry measurement of facial features of various ethic groups and find that there are different levels of ethnic and geographical distinctions in the size, shape and proportion of facial organs.Chinese scholars also carry a series of Anthropometry measurement of facial features of different areas and nationalities, however, there are few detailed measurements of the external nasal soft-tissue data of Han Adults in Henan province.The purpose of the research is to measure and collect the detailed data of nasal soft tissue in Henan province Han adult, examine the people with Harmonious Nasal-facial relationship, conduct the statistical calculation and analysis, analysis the differences of external nasal shape of different sex of Han adults in Henan province, discuss the commonness and characteristics of the Harmonious Nasal-facial relationship and further improve the nasal measurement database, provide morphological reference for a series of nasal deformity repair and cosmetic surgery. Methods:Two hundred and eighty-six cases of Han adults of Henan province were selected in this study at random(male 109 cases; female 177 cases).1.Based on LG Farkas' s anthropometric measurements in craniofacial region, 10 measuring point(5 paired points and 5 unpaired points) and 3 angles were selects, conducting the direct measurement method and Standard nose and face medical photography combined with image processing software, 11 linear distances and 5 angles were measured.2.Referred to Farkas' s standard index of head and face proportion, 6 index of nasal proportion were calculated and the nasal shape were classified.3.Select the owner of Harmonious Nasal-facial relationship, and take further measurement and research of it.4.Summarize all the data in the end and SPSS 22.0 software was used for statistical analysis. Results:The data of the measurement of nasal shape of Han adults in Henan province:1.Male of Han adults in Henan province: nasal height 59.6±4.9mm;nasal length 52.5±3.0mm;nasal depth 21.6±2.6mm;nasal width 36.2±2.7mm;Inner canthus distance 37.2±2.7mm;alar base width 27.8±3.2mm;nasal alar length30.7±3.7mm;nasal alar thickness 5.3±0.8mm;columella nasi height 12.6±1.5mm;columella nasi width 6.5±1.1mm;apex nasi width 22.8±2.8mm;nasal frontal angle 146.0±7.9°;nasal tip angle 78.0±6.5°;nasal labial angle 99.0±12.0°;nasal index 61.2±7.0;nasal depth and width index 59.9±8.6;nasal bridge index 88.6±8.8;columella nasi width and nasal width index 18.0±3.3;nasal alar length and nasal height index 51.9±7.3;columella nasi height and nasal depth index 59.2±10.4?2.Female of Han adults in Henan province: nasal height 55.6±3.7mm;nasal length 49.2±3.7mm;nasal depth 18.1±2.5mm;nasal width 34.4±2.2mm;Inner canthus distance 35.7±2.3mm;alar base width 28.6±4.7mm;nasal alar length 29.8±2.6mm;nasal alar thickness 4.8±1.0mm;columella nasi height 10.0±1.7mm;columella nasi width 6.0±1.0mm;apex nasi width 21.3±3.1mm;nasal frontal angle 145.2±8.4°;nasal tip angle 79.8±7.2°;nasal labial angle 102.4±11.0°;nasal index 62.1±5.6;nasal depth and width index 52.8±8.0;nasal bridge index 88.8±9.0;columella nasi width and nasal width index 17.7±3.2;nasal alar length and nasal height index 53.7±5.4;columella nasi height and nasal depth index 56.7±12.9?3.Classification: In 109 male cases, there are 23 extremely narrow nasal shape cases, accounting for 21.1%; 76 narrow nasal shape cases, accounting for 69.7%; 10 middle nasal shape cases, accounting for 9.2%.In the 177 female cases, there are 14 extremely narrow nasal shape cases, accounting for 7.9%; 152 narrow nasal shape cases, accounting for 85.9%; 11 middle nasal shape cases, accounting for 6.2%.4.Han adult with perfect external nasal morphology and Harmonious Nasal-facial relationship in Henan province, index of male and female nasal-facial width are 25.6±0.5 and 25.8±0.4, the index of nasal-mouth width are 75.6±2.0 and 69.3±1.8,the Orbital-nasal width are 95.2±1.5 and 92.1±0.6,the nasal-facial height index are 30.1±0.8 and 27.8±1.3,Nasofacial angle are 29.4° and 28.1°. Conclusions:1.Han adult nose data of Henan province were significantly different in gender: male cases reveal much more longer linear nasal distances than female cases, only one liner distance(alar base width) and one angles data(nasal frontal angle) demonstrate no statistical significance(P>0.05).2.In the 6 Nasal Shape proportion Index, both male and female case demonstrates no statistical significance in nasal index ?nasal bridge index ?columella nasi width and nasal width index and columella nasi height and nasal depth index(P>0.05).The nasal depth and width index?nasal alar length and nasal height index demonstrate statistical significance(P<0.05).3. There has no differences in nasal type classification, male and female all dominated by narrow nasal shape.4. Han adult in Henan province with perfect external nasal morphology and Harmonious Nasal-facial relationship, the male and female index of nasal-facial width demonstrates no statistical significance(P>0.05), as for the the index of nasal-mouth width,the Orbital-nasal width index,the nasal-facial height index,, the data of male are a little bit higher than female's.5. Comparing the Henan province adults' nasal-facial relationship with the classical aesthetic standard, only the index of nasal-facial is coincidental. The rest of the results are different, from a certain point of view, the contemporary aesthetic standard of the appearance shows a certain change.6.This research, to a certain extent, enriches the Henan province region of the Han nationality adults of nasal soft tissue measurement database, makes further examination of nasal-facial relationship, provides reference data for the nasal deformity after reconstruction and operation effect evaluation, which is helpful to predict and evaluate the postoperative effect, and also provides basic data for the further regional, between the different races of nasal morphology study.
