?Objective? Analyzing the different usage of contrast-enhanced CT and diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging on the size of malignant neoplasm of pancreas, metastatic tumor of liver and regional lymph nodes by comparative studies. So the excellent information of outlining target area can be found which can guide radiation in clinical practice.?Method? Taking 40 patients with pancreatic cancer and scanning them on same location by contrast-enhanced CT and diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging, and then sketching the volume of target region according to different pictures, measuring the major axis of section, measuring liver metastases and lymph node metastases whose diameter from 5mm to 8mm and larger than 8mm.Statistic analysis on related data.?Results? The average value of the volume of GTV which are sketched by contrastenhanced CT and diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging are: 54.95cm3,41.67cm3,the mean value-different value is 13.28cm3.The major axis of the largest section that measured by contrast-enhanced CT and diffusion-weighted magneticresonance imaging are: 4.18 cm,3.94 cm,the d CT of two are smaller than d DWI.The numbers of detected Liver metastases are 83/112 which was measured by contrast-enhanced CT and diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging. The result of contrast-enhanced CT is 74% of the result of diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging; The amount of >8mm lymph node metastases was 46/56.The amount of 5-8mm lymph node metastases was 103/200.Meanwhile the result of contrast-enhanced CT is respectively 82%,85% of the result of diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging. There is a statistically significant different among data.?Conclusions? The major axis of the largest section and GTV which were measured by diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging is smaller than the contrast-enhanced CT did, lymph node metastases are sensitive to contrast-enhanced CT in liver. It is necessary to conduct experience further according to pathology.
