Acupuncture therapy has the advantages of low cost, unique potency and fewer side effects. It occupies an important position in traditional medicine. It is widely used in many countries around the world. However the existing acupuncture training method is difficult to guarantee the good training effect. It has low efficiency, and we cannot fully master the acupuncture skill of various acupoints. Aiming at these problems above, advanced acupuncture training devices are studied in this paper, and a new type of acupuncture simulation training device is developed. This device overcomes the deficiency of existing acupuncture simulation training device. It can well meet the needs of acupuncture training.First, guided by the basic theory of acupuncture, acupuncture operation theory and stress of the needle body are analyzed in this paper. The biomechanics of typical acupuncture organization is studied, and a acupoint model with 4 layer tissues is established. The basic requirements the acupuncture simulation training device should meet are analyzed and determined, which provide the basis for the design of the training device.Then, according to the design requirements, the transmission scheme of the training device is determined. Through analysis and comparison, friction drive scheme is selected as the transmission scheme of the training device. According to the friction drive scheme, mechanism design of the training device is completed. With analysis of type selection for the required components, the suitable components are determined. Based on the work mentioned above, the 3D model for the training device is created.Next, the training device is analyzed through three aspects, which are stiffness, resistance and rotational inertia. The main performance parameters are calculated. The analysis result shows that the design project meets the requirements.Finally, some time and energy is paid in research of operation system of the device, such as control strategy, development environment and tool, virtual scene. The system adopts impendence control strategy, and uses LabVIEW and CHAI 3D as its development tool.Summary and prospect are shown at the end of the article.
