Objectives:This project aimed to acknowledge the lived experience of accidentally injured patients,taking the seriously injured patients with Kunshan“8 ? 2”major explosion as an example,penetrating into their posttraumatic life,focusing on the following questions: what's the meaning of lived experience of patients in this study? what were the characteristics of their lived experience? what's the critical influence factors of their experience? what suggestions could be provided for seriously injured patients to rrelief the psychological stress in the early period and continuously to promot their physical and psychological in the rehabilitation ?Methods: It was a longitudinal qualitative study,IPA(Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis)was selected as the research paradigm.Considering the homogeneity of gender,age,time after trauma and extent of trauma,a purposive sampling strategy was used to recruit five seriously injured patients with Kunshan “8?2”major explosion,they were tracked for more than 18 months.Taking depth interview,field observation,reflective diary and scale evaluation as the main media to collect the information,which included all the situation they perceived,expressed and reflected during their hospital stay.Simultaneous interviews were conducted in five relatives who provided long term caregiving to complement relevant information.Results:During the period from Auguest 3rd 2014 to April 29 th 2016,there were 42 interviews recorded by digital voice recorder,the transcripts amounted to 185416 and 203 times of field observation,the reflective diary added up to 168945.Through the phenomenological analysis,the situated structure of lived experience during the hospital of the five seriously injured patients was described one by one.Combine the piceture of lived experience of each patient with the information from their caregivers and researcher observed,extracting the essential structure of the five patients which included four themes,eighteen sub-themes: drastic changes in life(interruption of life,body damage,interpersonal change,confined to the hospital),post-traumatic psychological stress(moodiness,complex emotions,cognitive bias),multiple coping(rising from the ashes,image and concept change,regulating emotion,avoidance and adjacence to different people,planning the return),the influence factors of lived experience(personality characteristics,degree of physical trauma,perceived social support,cognitive processing,coping style,other factors).Conclusion: This study vertiaclly presented the changing journey of lived experience of the five seriously injured patients with major explosion during the hospital stay,revealing the essential characteristics of patients with severe burn: in the eraly period,the main feeling arised from body damage,the biggest change was the interpersonal relationship;in the rehabilitation period,compromise and persistence were the rhythms of temporality and spatiality.In summary,we could provide support for seriously injured patients in three respects to relief the psychological stress in the early period and continuously promoting their physical and psychological in the rehabilitation.
