Objective : To investigate the type and incidence of epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)gene mutations among non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)patients in Wuhu area and analyze the correlation between mutations and clinical features.Methods: Specimens of lung cancer tissues were collected from 167 NSCl C patients in the first affiliated hospital of Wannan Medical College from October 2013 to October 2015.Mutation analysis of EGFR gene in exon 18 to 21?S768I and T790 M were performed by amplification refractory mutation system(AMRS)assay,meanwhile,analyze the correlation between mutations and clinical features.Results:Mutations of EGFR gene were found in 87 cases of 167 non-small lung cancer samples.Exon 18 mutation rate was 5.75%(5/87).Exon 19 mutation rate was 48.38%(42/87).Exon 20 mutation rate was 4.6%(4/87).Exon 21 mutation rate was 37.93%(33/87).S768 I mutation rate was 1.15%(1/87).T790 M mutation rate was 1.15%(1/87).Double mutation rate was 2.30%(2/87).One case had exon 19 and exon 21 mutation.One case had exon 21 and T790 M mutation.The mutation rate in women was higher than men(72.86%VS37.11%),the difference have statistical significance(P=0.00 0);The mutation rate in nonsmoking patients was higher than smoking patients(68.48%VS32.00%),the difference have statistical significance(P=0.000);The mutation rate in adenocarcinoma was higher than non-adenocarcinoma(57.75%VS20.00%),the difference have statistical significance(P=0.001);The mutation rate in patients who was more than 60 years old was higher than patients who was less than 60 years old(51.40%VS47.76%);The high differentiation tumor mutation rate was 57.14%,The moderate differentiation tumor mutation rate was 57.69%,The low differentiation tumor mutation rate was 35.90%,the difference have no statistical significance(P=0.065);Biopsy tissue samples mutation rate was 51.61%,Surgical specimens mutation rate was 53.85%,Cell samples mutation rate was 52.94%,the difference have no statistical significance(P=0.976).Conclusion:EGFR mutations mainly occur in exons 19 and 21.EGFR mutations are more frequently detected in female,non-smokers,adenocarcinoma patients.The EGFR mutation rate has nothing to do with age,tumor differentiation degree and specimen source.
