| Objectives:To study the clinical effect on treating simple obesity by the therapy of fire needle combined with catgut implantation.Methods:Sixty patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,thirty cases in each group.The treatment group was treated by fire needle combined with catgut implantation every two weeks,four weeks for a period of treatment,a total of 3 sessions.And the control group was treated by simple acupuncture 5 times per week,four weeks for a period of treatment,a total of 3 sessions.Then we observed the changes of weight,body mass index,obesity degree,body circumference,waist hip ratio,subcutaneous fat thickness and body fat percentage.Results:1.Comparing all the obesity indicator we measured of two groups respectively before and after the treatment,the values above were significantly different(P<0.05)in both groups.It illustrated that both of the two treatments were effective in treating the Simple Obesity.2.Comparing the obesity indicator between the two groups,the values of weight,WHR were significantly different statistically(P<0.05).And the values of BMI,obesity degree,waist circumference,subcutaneous fat thickness of abdomen,subcutaneous fat thickness of musculus triceps brachii and body fat rate were significantly different statistically(P<0.05).While the rest of the indicators showed no significantly difference(P>0.05).3.After the therapy,the treatment group had a total effective rate of 86.7%.,while the control group had a total effective rate of 73.3%.The clinical effect on treating simple obesity of treatment group was better than that of the control group(P<0.01).Conclusion:Both of the two therapies were effective in treating simple obesity.The therapy of fire needle combined with catgut implantation was more effective than simple acupuncture,which probably due to the continued stimulating effect of the catgut implantation and the warm effect of the fire needle. |
