Research On Clinical Effects Of Yang Xue Rou Gan Decoction On Compensatory Hepatitis-cirrhotic Portal Hypertension

Objective: The research aimed at observing the Clinical effects of the Yang Xue Rou Gan decoction(Decoction)on compensatory hepatitis-cirrhotic portal hypertension,and evaluating its efficacy by comparing with the propranolol group.Methods: 60 patients suffering from Compensatory hepatitis-cirrhotic portal hypertension were selected in accordance with the diagnostic criteri,which were also randomly divided into the treatment group with 30 patients and the control group with 30 patients.The control group was treated with propranolol and the Decoction was given in the treatment group for three months.The changes of patients,including clinical symptoms,signs,liver function,liver fibrosis index,diameter of portal vein(DPV),velocity of portal vein(VPV)as well as efficacy integral of traditional Chinese medical patterns,before and after the treatment in these two groups were compared.Results:(1)After treatment,clinical symptoms and signs of patients in both group were improved,and the total integral value decreased.The efficacy of the treatment group was better than that in the control group,which showed the significant difference between both groups(P <0.05).(2)The liver function indicators,including ALT,TBIL and ALB,were improved in both groups.After treatment,the decreasing levels of ALT and TBIL were different significantly in both groups,which had a statistically significance(P< 0.05).The ALB of both groups were increased after treatment,so there was no statistical significance(P > 0.05).(3)The liver fibrosis indexes including HA,PCIII,IV-C and LN of both groups decreased after treatment,which showed the significant difference before and after the treatment in the treatment group(P < 0.05),while there was no significant difference in the control group(P > 0.05).(4)After treatment the two groups of liver stiffness values decreased and the treatment group was statistically significant difference before and after treatment(P <0.05),the control group before and after treatment had no significant difference(P > 0.05).Comparing the two groups after treatment(P <0.05),the difference was statistically significant.(5)the two groups after treatment of esophageal gastric varices were reduced,the treatment group compared with controls(P< 0.05),the difference was statistically significant.(6)After taking the Decoction for three months,there was significant differences of the DPV and quantity of portal vein(QPV)after the treatment in the treatment group(P < 0.05),but there was no significant difference of VPV before and after the treatment by comparing with the control group(P > 0.05).Conclusion: The experiment showed that the Decoction had good effects on hepatitis-cirrhotic portal hypertension,including relieving clinical symptoms and signs,improving liver function,reducing liver fibrosis index,narrowing the DPV as well as declining the QPV.Its mechanism were related to the effects of anti-fibrosis,anti-cirrhosis,reduction of portal vein pressure and improvement of liver microcirculation.
