Objective: To compare the third space of laparoscopic radical surgery and open radical surgery for patients with rectal cancer and sigmoid colon cancer. Methods:This study aimed at the third space effect according to two aspects of inflammatory stress response and the abnormal fluid translocation in third space,to compare and analyze the third space of laparoscopic radical surgery and open radical surgery for patients with rectal cancer and sigmoid colon cancer by clinical data and experimental data. Results:Compared to the open group,The inflammatory stress response both in the laparoscopic radical surgery and in the open surgery of rectal cancer and sigmoid colon cancer. But in the laparoscopic surgery group, the surgery trauma is less, the inflammatory stress response is more gently(P<0.05).Postoperative abnormal distribution of liquid and electrolyte both in the laparoscopic radical surgery and in the open surgery of rectal cancer and sigmoid colon cancer(P>0.05).However in the laparoscopic radical surgery of rectal cancer and sigmoid colon cancer, the the peak of urine volume and the negative fluid balance appeare earlier(P<0.05),the abnormal situation of the third space improved more quickly, the postoperative hospital stay is shorter(P<0.05).Conclusion: The third space effect acting on the body is shorter and more gently and postoperative recovery is faster, which after the laparoscopic radical surgery of rectal cancer and sigmoid colon cancer.
