Objective: To explore related risk factors of attempted suicide among the patients with severe psychoses. Methods: 80 cases of severe psychoses patients were divided into two groups according to their admission diagnosis without or with attempted suicide behavior,which included 59 cases without suicidal ideas and 21 cases with attempted suicide behavior. General Information Questionnaire, Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale, Coping Style Questionnaire, Social Disability Screening Schedule and Social Support Rating Scale were used to collect relative information in two groups separately. Chi-square test and Mann-Whitney U test were used in single factor analysis, and Binary Logistic Regression analysis was used in multifactor regression analysis. Results: Results of single factor analysis showed that the comparion between the groups without suicidal ideas group and patients with attempted suicide behavior group for the distribution of gender, diagnosis, anxiety depression factor, self-blame coping styles, wince coping styles, rationalization coping styles, and parents support in patients were different significantly. Multi-factor analysis showed gender, self-blame coping styles and anxiety depression factor had a greater influence on suicide attempt. Conclusions: Women, anxiety depression and self-blame coping styles were the main risk factors of suicide attempts among the patients with severe psychoses.
