Hip replacement is an important treatment method to repair the hip joint function. The differences of the mechanical properties between the femur and hip joint prosthesis result in some complications such as bone absorption, bone resorption, prosthesis sinking and prosthesis long-term loose after surgery.Research on the mechanical properties of hip replacement is prior among the priorities that complications to be cured after hip replacement. It also provides accurate geometric parameters and mechanical basis for the design of the artificial hip joint prosthesis. It will raise the design level of our country's artificial hip prosthesis from the source. The main research content is as follows:(1)This paper introduces the research status of hip replacement and puts forward the necessity of research on hip joint replacement.Besides,it also introduces the structure of human hip joint, which will provide research approach and theory support for the study of this subject.(2)CT scan image data were used in the artificial femur in carrying out three-dimensional reconstruction of artificial femoral and pelvis in Mimics,Geomagic.Simulating resection of three-dimensional reconstruction for the diseased tissue of the femur, hip joint prosthesis, artificial thigh bone, bone socket and gasket was carried out based on ProE and Geomagic, and then input ANSYS to establish a finite element analysis model of hip joint after hip replacement.(3)Numerical Simulation was conducted.Finite element analysis of hip replacement model(including with pelvis and without pelvis)was conducted through ANSYS software. The differences of mechanical performance between before and after hip replacement(including no pelvis and pelvis)were contrasted.(4)Electricity test experiment was conducted.Differences of mechanical performance between before and after hip replacement(including with pelvis and without pelvis)were researched through designing electricity test experiment with corresponding numerical simulation.(5)Biomechanical property of hip replacement was researched through comparing and analyzing hip replacement experiment and numerical simulation results. The accuracy and feasibility is verified by researching the consistency of stress and strain conditions between hip replacement experiment data and numerical simulation results.
