Objective:To evaluate the effect of neonatal maternal separation on pain reaction and neurobehavior in newborn.Methods:100 dates of full-term newborns were retrospective analyzed. The 50 newborns with neonatal maternal separation more than 72 h as observation group, and the 50 newborns with rooming-in as control group. All newborns were given to heels blood sampling. Used neonatal infant pain scale(NIPS) to assess the neonatal maternal separation of two groups. In the process of heels blood sampling, the heart rate, blood oxygen saturation and respiratory rate were compared between the two groups. Used neonatal behavior neurological assessment(NBNA) to assess the neonatal maternal separation of two groups. Results:(1)At before blood sampling, the process of blood sampling, and after blood sampling 1min, 3min, 5min and 7min, the NIPS score of observation group respectively were(0.3±0.1)score,(6.4±0.5)score,(5.2±0.3)score,(2.6±0.4)score,(1.9±0.5)score and(0.8±0.3)score,those of control group respectively were(0.2±0.1)score,(6.1±0.8)score,(3.6±0.7)score,(1.7±0.5)score,(1.0±0.4)score and(0.6±0.3)score. Before blood sampling and the process of blood sampling, the NIPS score of two groups were no statistically different(P>0.05). After blood sampling 1min, 3min and 5min, the NIPS score of observation group significantly higher than control group, the difference showed statistically significant(P<0.05). After blood sampling 7min,the NIPS score of two groups were no statistically different(P>0.05).(2)The duration time of pain expression and cry in observation group respectively were(114.3±25.6)s and(61.4±15.8)s,those of control group respectively were(75.2±18.1)s and(42.6±10.3)s. The duration time of pain expression and cry in observation group significantly more than control group, the difference showed statistically significant(P<0.05).(3)At before blood sampling, the process of blood sampling, and after blood sampling 1min,3min,5min and 7min,the heart rate of observation group respectively were( 124.1±13.2) times/min,(174.6±14.8)times/min,(165.2±8.3)times/min,(151.6±4.5)times/min,(140.9±6.5)times/min and(136.2±4.3)times/min,those of control group respectively were(127.2±17.1)times/min,(171.1±16.2)times/min,(156.6±6.7)times/min,(138.2±7.3)times/min,(131.2±4.4)times/min and(128.6±5.1)times/min. Before blood sampling and the process of blood sampling, the heart rate of two groups were no statistically different(P>0.05). After blood sampling 1min,3min, 5min and 7min,the heart rate of observation group significantly higher than control group, the difference showed statistically significant(P<0.05).(4)At before blood sampling, the process of blood sampling, and after blood sampling 1min, 3min, 5min and 7min, the blood oxygen saturation of observation group respectively were( 98.4±1.1) %,( 76.2±5.8) %,(79.5±3.2)%,(82.5±3.8)%,(89.9±3.5)% and(94.8±0.6)%,those of control group respectively were(97.8±1.3)%,(77.1±4.2)%,(84.5±3.9)%,(88.7±4.2)%,(93.3±4.1)% and(98.1±0.7)%. Before blood sampling and the process of blood sampling, the blood oxygen saturation of two groups were no statistically different(P>0.05). After blood sampling 1min,3min,5min and 7min,the blood oxygen saturation of observation group significantly higher than control group, the difference showed statistically significant(P<0.05).(5)At before blood sampling, the process of blood sampling, and after blood sampling 1min,3min,5min and 7min,the respiratory rate of observation group respectively were(42.5±6.1)times/min,(55.9±7.2)times/min,(54.2±4.5)times/min,(51.2±3.7)times/min,(47.3±3.4)times/min and(43.7±5.6)times/min,those of control group respectively were(42.8±5.7)times/min,(56.3±6.4)times/min,(50.1±2.4)times/min,(45.2±3.0)times/min,(43.0±5.0)times/min and(43.1±4.7)times/min. Before blood sampling and the process of blood sampling, the respiratory rate of two groups were no statistically different(P>0.05). After blood sampling 3min and 5min,the respiratory rate of observation group significantly higher than control group, the difference showed statistically significant(P<0.05). After blood sampling 1min and 7 min,the respiratory rate of two groups were no statistically different(P>0.05).(6)The dimension score of active ability, passive muscle tension, initiative muscle tension, primary reflex and general reactions of observation group respectively were(10.7±0.3)score,(6.7±0.4)score,(6.5±0.5)score,(5.0±0.3)score and(4.9±0.4)score,those of control group respectively were(11.3±0.5)score,(7.4±0.3)score,(7.6±0.4)score,(5.6±0.4)score and(5.7±0.5)score. The dimension score of observation group significantly less than control group, the difference showed statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:After the birth of maternal and infant separation within the 3 d can lead to full-term healthy newborns to heel blood pain reaction, and reduce the neurobehavioral ability, clinical should pay attention to the potential adverse effects of neonatal maternal separation on neonatal, provide a more humanized system of medical and nursing measures, and ultimately achieve the goal of improve the quality of birth population.
