With the continuous improvement of human living standards, human's survival environment is rapidly changing owing to extensive use of indoor decorative materials, and more and more serious environmental pollution caused by automotive and industrial production. Therefore, researchers are paying more and more attention to influence of the environment on human's health. Asthma and allergic diseases are among the major deseases causing human's health problems. And children's asthma and allergic symptoms are closely related to the environment. In this paper, an association study is conducted among children in Changsha City on the relation between indoor environmental factors(in houses and classrooms) and children's allergic symptoms, aiming at providing more references for researches upon the relationship between children's allergic respiratory diseases and environmental factors.Children's respiratory allergy symptoms focused in this research include: persistent cough, persistent phlegm, respiratory allergies, asthma, eczema, etc.In this paper, cross-sectional survey method from epidemiological studies is used in the research, and an investigation among grade-5 students selected from two schools in Changsha City is conducted. The initial database is established according to the survey data obtained, which are added up and analyzed by using data analysis software SPSS, thus to figure out the relationships between residential indoor environmental factors and children's respiratory allergic diseases. The frequency of symptoms of allergic diseases among children in different indoor environment is analyzed with the use of chi-square test. In the chi-square test, the corresponding factor will be related to children's allergy if the value of P is not more than 0.05. And if the value of OR is more than 1, the corresponding factor is risky at contributing to children's allergy symptoms and moreover, the greater the value is, the more risky the factor becomes. According to the analysis, risky factors of children's allergy symptoms are figured out, including living along main roads, residential renovation, indoor smoking, pets, mildew condensation, washing children's bedding once more than a month, use of pesticides in children's rooms, absence of ventilation equipment, absence of vacuum cleaner and so on, significantly impacting the prevalence of allergic diseases in children. On the basis of the cross-sectional survey in the first phase, researchers selectfive households with healthy children and five households with children of allergic symptoms for indoor environment measurement and analysis. The indoor measurement of carbon dioxide concentration, floating fungus, accumulation of fungal, concentrations of suspended particulate matter(PM2.5), indoor temperature and humidity is carried out. According to the detailed statistical analysis of the measurement data, it is found that the indoor CO2 concentration has an important impact on human's health, and indoor floating fungi, suspended particulate matters are risky factors causing children's respiratory allergic diseases. Moreover, the indoor temperature and humidity fluctuations, to some extent, have an impact on children's respiratory allergic diseases.
