Objective:Pulmonary inflammation is a key factor in the development of lung cancer. NLR and PLR, being used commonly, are inflammatory index, the researchers found that there might be relevance between NLR, PLR and the prognosis of malignant tumor. This paper mainly studies the correlation between preoperative NLR, PLR index and the prognosis of non-small cell lung cancer. Methods:The clinical data of patients who diagnosis of non small cell lung cancer postoperatively were collected from January 1,2010 to October 31,2014 in Department of thoracic of Yanbian University Hospital. The surgery included radical resection and wedge resection. Collect at the same time the patient's gender, age, race, smoking history, tumor size, degree of differentiation, lymph node metastasis, preoperative neutrophil count (GRAN), lymphocyte count (LYM), platelet count (PLT). Calculation of NLR and PLR. Through the statistics method, we determine whether NLR, PLR and prognosis of non-small cell lung cancer have relevance.Results:64 cases were Han nationality(51.2%),61 cases (48.8%) Korean Chinese nationality. There was no significant difference in statistics of NLR and PLR between nationalities.Smokers of 81 cases(64.8%),and nonsmokers of 44 cases (35.2%).There was statistically significant between smokers and nonsmokers in NLR (P=0.049);no statistically significant in PLR (P=0.584).More smokers in male and old female.Male patients of 80 cases(64%), female patients of 45 cases (36%). There was statistical significance between male and female in NLR (.P=0.02), no statistical significance in PLR(P=0.233), patients with different tumor sizes, less than or equal to 3cm (55 cases) and more than 3cm (67 cases), were divided into two groups for statistical analysis. No statistically significant between two groups.According to the degree of pathological differentiation, patents were divided into high differentiation, medium differentiation and low differentiation.88 in 125 cases, according to the postoperative pathological clear differentiation.21 cases of high differentiation,50 cases of moderate differentiation,17 cases of low differentiated. There are statistical significance between high differentiation and low differentiation in NLR (P=0.040), no statistically significant between high differentiation and moderate differentiation, moderate differentiation and low differentiation. And no statistically significant in PLR.Among 125 cases,29 cases with lymph node metastasis, No lymph node metastasis in 96 patients. No statistical significance between them in NLR and PLR. According to the size of the tumor and adjacent invasion of surrounding tissues and bronchus, seventh edition of TNM staging of lung cancer according to AJCC standard,T1,T2,T3 were taken multiple comparison. The ratio of NLR between T1 and T3 was statistically significant (P=0.011),and the same between T2 and T3(P=0.018), no statistical significance between T1 and T2 (P=0.993). No statistical significance among T1,T2,T3 in PLR. According to TNM AJCC seventh edition of lung cancer staging criteria, among 125 cases,43 cases of I A (32.8%),28 cases of ?B (22.4%), 22 cases of ?A (17.6%),16 cases of ?B (12.8%),15 cases of ?A (12%),1 cases of ?B (0.8%).Multiple comparison among phase ? (71 cases), ? (39 cases)and ? (16 cases). There was statistically significant between phase ? and ? in NLR (P=0.015), statistical significance between phase ? and ? (P=:0.034), but no,statistical difference between phase ? and ? (P=0.9). No statistically significant in PLR between each phase.Conclusion:1. The preoperative NLR was associated with smoking, gender, turn or differentiation, tumor T staging and pathological staging of the patients who diagno sed non-small cell lung cancer. No association with the nation (Korean Chinese nati onality, the Han nationality), the size of the tumor and metastasis of the lymph node. 2. PLR was not associated with clinicopathological parameters of non-small cell lun g cancer.3. Preoperative NLR was associated with the prognosis of rion-small cell lu ng cancer. There was no association between PLR and the prognosis of non-small eel 1 lung cancer.
