| Objective: To study the distribution of the gene polymorphism of MTHFRC677T、CBS844ins68inXinjiang Kazak and Han nationality in northern of Xinjiang, and to investigate the relationship betweenMTHFRC677T、CBS844ins68gene polymorphism and essential hypertension. Methods: The study was performed in200Kazak patients and200Han patients with essentialhypertensive(EH) and was performed in200Kazak peoples and200Han peoples with normal tensive(NT).MTHFR and CBS genetypes were detected by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment lengthpolymorphism(PCR-RFLP), and analysis of the distribution of genotypes and allele gene frequencies;Automated biochemieal analyzer was employed to measure the Hcy levels of plasm and the clinicalbiochemistry datas.Results:1. The distribution of genotypes in the Kazak and Han people were in line with Hardy-Weinberggenetic equilibrium equation(P>0.05).2. The frequencies of TT genotype and T allele in Kazak patients with hypertension were significantdifferences with those in Han patients(P<0.05).There were also significant differences between Kazak NTgroup and Han NT group(P>0.05). The frequencies of TT genotype and T allele in Han patients with EHwere higher than those of Han NT group (P<0.05). The relative risk of suffering from EH in genotypeCT+TT were respective1.812times higher than of CC genotype(OR=1.812,95%CI=1.142~2.874).3.There were significant different of plasm Hcy levels existed in EH group compared with the NT group intwo nations (P <0.05), the total levels of plasma Hcy of Kazak EH group were no significantly higher thanHan EH group (P>0.05); Levels of Hcy in male EH group and male NT group were higher than those offemale EH group and female NT group in Kazak (P <0.05); Comparison of Kazak and Han different levelsof high blood pressure and the plasma Hcy levels,2group and3group were higher than1group in thepatient’s level of Hcy, the difference was statistically significant in Kazak (P <0.05); MTHFR C677Tgenotype CT, TT type plasma Hcy levels were higher than CC type in Kazak and Han, but levels of Hcy inCT, TT genotype patients were higher than those of CC genotype in Han (P <0.05).4. There were significant differences for systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, body mass index, triglyceride, total cholesterol, and low density lipoprotein cholesterin between EH groups and NT groups inXinjiang Kazak and Han nationality (P <0.05).Conclusions:1. The Hcy levels of plasm may be a risk factor in EH in XinJiang Kazak and Han people.2. MTHFR C677T,CBS844ins68gene polymorphism exists in Xinjiang Kazak and Xinjiang Han people.3. There are racial differences between Xinjiang Kazak and Xinjiang Han nationalities with MTHFRC677T gene polymorphism.MTHFR C677T gene polymorphism was associated with EH in Xinjiang Hansignificantly, T allele gene may be a inherited predisposing factor for EH in Xinjiang Han people. |
