Umbelliferae is one of the larger plant families. There are 275 genera and 2800 kinds of it exist. They grows widely in north temperate zone, subtropical zone and subtropical mountain regions. There are about 46 genera and more than 150 species of umbelliferae medicinal plants in China, accounting for 49.0%and 31.5%of domestic umbrelliferae plant, respectively.Umbrelliferae plant used as medicine has a long history in folk. There are many traditional Chinese herbal medicines in umbelliferae medicinal plants, such as Centella asiatica,Radix angelicae dahuricae,Angelica sinensis,Saposhnikovia divaricata,Fructus cnidii,Radix peucedani, etc. The breadth and depth of umbrelliferae plant chemical research is very important.Lecantotis buchtormensis is a kind of umbelliferae medicinal plant, the details chemical study about this speases is very few. From the 70%EtOH extract of Lecantotis buchtormensis in Altay, using the system solvent extraction, polyamide column chromatography, sephadex LH-20,preparative thin layer chromatography(PTLC)and recrystallization to extract and purify.According to basis physicochemical property,Co-TLC,spectral analysis and comparison with literature data,11 compounds were finally isolated and identified as:Imperatorin(1),Mexoticin(2),n-Docosane(3),2(4'-hydroxyphenyl)ethyl undecanoate(4),Daucosterol(5),?-Sitosterol(6),Isoimperatorin(7),Osthol(8),Bergaptol(9),Xanthotoxin(10),Demethylfuropinnarin(11).This thesis summarized the research status of chemical compositions and pharmacologic activities of Umbelliferae, and explorated the chemical compouds of Lecantotis buchtormensis which grows in the region of Altay.
