Clinical Observation In Combined Therapy Of Chronic Schistosomiasis By Optimizing Drug System

Objective In order to providing scientific evidence for clinical treatment on chronic schistosomiasis, the effects of three treatment schemes for chronic schistosomiasis patients using optimizing drug system plan are compared through retrospective survey.Methods According to the treatment plan, cases of chronic schistosomiasis patients from Jan,2011to Dec,2013in Hunan prevention and treatment institute for occupational disease are divided into three groups:group A treated by praziquantel, group B treated by praziquantel and liver-protective drug, and group C treated by praziquantel, liver-protective drug and colon dialysis by traditional Chinese medicine, are gathered.100cases are randomly selected from each group, and changes of anti-schistosome antibodies, abdominal ultrasound images, liver functions?and immunoglobulins before and after treatment, as well as changes of symptoms and signs, and all kinds of adverse reactions during treatment are recorded..Results1. After treatment, the values of immunoglobulins (IgA, IgM,IgG) and schistosome antibodies decreased significantly (P<0.05), indicating the effectiveness of treatment on all three groups. 2. Through statistical analysis on predictors of therapeutic effect of patients such as ultrasound images of liver, psychic symptoms, clinical efficacy, adverse reaction,and et al, it could conclude that the clinical efficacy was group C is better than group A and group B.Conclusion The treatment effect on the group using optimizing drug system composed by praziquantel (PQT), liver-protective drug and colonic dialysis is better than that of groups using PQT only and using combination of PQT and liver-protective drug. And this therapeutic regimen is effective, safety, and reliable.
