This paper dealt with systematic study on Herminiinae of Erebidae,Lepidoptera from Southwest China(Prov.Yunnan,Prov.Guizhou,Prov.Sichuan,Tibet).The paper includes three parts: The first part is the introduction of the study of the Herminiinae,including its history and its taxonomic status,feeding habits and geographical distribution;the research materials and methods of this paper;the necessary morphological names.The second part of the paper,recorded the Herminiinae subfamily of Southwest China,contain 19 genera 71 species,including 30 new species,1 new record genus,2 new record species to China,11 new record species to mainland of China,7 new record species to Southwest China.These species and genera are described in detail,with adult and genitalia photographs.The third part is conclusion and discussion.This study is the first systematic investigation of the taxonomy of Herminiinae in Southwest China.The subfamily has been systematically sorted also enriched the records with description of the species,which provided the basis for the classification and identification of the subfamily and the study of agriculture and forestry protection and species diversity in the Southwest China.All the examined specimens and type material are deposited in Northeast Forestry University insect specimen room.
