With the continuous development of modern science and technology and the continuous innovation and upgrading of agricultural machinery technology,the research of plant protection machinery has been developed by leaps and bounds,and has also been widely used.When plant protection machinery is used in crop pest control,the distance between spraying rod and crop canopy is different and the effective leaf area of crop spraying is different.The use of the same amount of pesticides will inevitably lead to a decrease in the utilization rate of pesticides and a serious waste of pesticides,which will cause serious pollution to the environment and even threaten human health.Aiming at the above problems,this paper designs a method of measuring the distance between spraying rod and crop canopy and measuring the equivalent area of crop spraying based on image processing.So that as the basis of pesticide application to use pesticide rationally.This paper introduces the problems existing in the application of plant protection machinery,and analyzes the present situation of measuring the distance between the spraying rod of plant protection machinery and the canopy of crops.In this paper,a method of detecting the canopy of plant protection mechanism by combining laser scanning and image processing is designed.In this method,the laser scanning device is fixed in the middle position of the spraying rod of the plant protection machinery,and a zigzag laser line is projected vertically down the surface of the crop canopy.The camera captures an image of the contours drawn on the surface of the crop canopy with the spraying rod and the laser line.After image processing,the number of pixels between the two can be calculated by identifying the straight line of the shot bar pixel and the position information of the laser contour pixel.Multiplied by the pixel equivalent meters of the measuring device that has been calibrated before the plant protection machinery operation,the distance between the spraying rod and the crop canopy is obtained.With this method,the structure,control flow and algorithm of the detection device are designed,and the measurement simulation experiments are carried out outdoors.In order to test the feasibility of using the measuring device,the distance between the spraying rod and the soybean crop canopy was measured by using the soybean field with lush growth and mutual occlusion of the leaves as the measuring target,The experimental platform was set up to measure the distance between the spraying rod and the soybean crop canopy.The experimental results show that the error between the measured results and the real values is 3.1%.In this paper,a method of measuring the effective leaf area of crop spraying is designed based on the method of measuring the distance between the spraying rod and the canopy of the crop.The method uses the concept of integral to calculate the length of the laser contour of the crop surface in the obtained image.The travel distance of the plant protection machinery is measured by the photoelectric encoder mounted on the coaxial axis with the rear wheel of the plant protection machine.The product of the two is the effective leaf area of the crop sprayed.At the same time,in order to verify the design scheme,this paper also designed a measuring device based on ultrasonic wave to measure the distance between spraying rod and crop canopy.The device uses current signal to transmit distance signal,which can effectively reduce the error caused by long wire.
