The double cropping Chinese scholar-tree is a variety of Sophora japonica Linn,which produce sophora flower buds and legumes twice a year.During the recent years,the cultivation areas of double cropping Chinese scholar-tree has been continuously expanded in Yanhu district of Yuncheng city.However,as the planting time grows,plant pathogens and pests are constantly increasing as well.On the other hand,the improper strategies of pests control have resulted in a more serious occurrence of pests and pathogens,which brings negative influence on the development of sophora flower buds industry.We investigated the prevalent species of pests and pathogens on double cropping Chinese scholar-tree,then analyzed the disease condition in Yanhu district,Yuncheng city.and carries out the experiments of controlling rotten disease and white mulberry scale which are relatively serious prevailing in local area,We are looking forward to provide fundamentals for a healthy prevent and treatment system of pests and pathogens on double cropping Chinese scholar-tree.The results are as follows:1.The results of the investigation on the diseases of double cropping Chinese scholar-tree show that there are main twelve kinds of pests which belong to 9 families of 5 orders.The insect pests contain Pseudaulacaspis pentagona Targioni Tozzetti,Eulecanium kuwanai,Cicadellae viridis,Cydia trasias Meyrick,Semiothisa cmerearia Bremer et Grey,Aphis sophoricola,Apolygus lucor Meyer–Dür,Adelphocoris lineolatus Goez,Adelphocoris fasciaticollis Reuter,Adelphocoris suturalis Jakovlev,Sinoxylon japonicum Lesne.The arachnid pest is Tetranychus cinnabarinus.The majority pests include Pseudaulacaspis pentagona,Aphis sophoricola,Semiothisa cmerearia,Apolygus lucor?m Meyer –Dür,Cydia trasias and Tetranychus cinnabarinus.Other kinds of pests occur less.2.Five pesticides were used in our experiments to control P.pentagona in field.As the experimental results indicated,22.4% spirotetramat SC diluted with water(1:4000)achieve a control efficiency of 92.2% after 10 days.The Spirotetramat SC owns the best control efficiency and was significantly higher than those of other pesticides treatments.The control effect of 3% fenoxycarb EC at 1000 times was followed as 88.5%.The control effect of 22.4% spirotetramat SC at 5000 times was 88.4%,which has no appreciable difference,compared to 3% fenoxycarb EC at 1000 times.The control effect of 20% fenvalerate EC at 1500 times and 48% chlorpyrifos EC were the worst,which was 68.4% and 68.9% respectively.The control effect of 100 g/L of pyriproxyfen EC at 1000 times and 1500 times was 80.1%,78.1% respectively,revealing a median level of control effect.22.4% spirotetramat SC at 4000-5000 times and 3% fenoxycarb EC at 1000 times can be used in rotation,which can not only achieve a relative good control effect,but retard the development of white mulberry scale.3.The results of investigation on the disease of double cropping Chinese scholar-tree show that there are mainly 3 kinds of disease like rot,powdery mildew and sooty blotch.And the rot is the most serious hazardous disease in double cropping Chinese scholar-tree.4.Four fungicides were used to carry out a field control experiment on double cropping Chinese scholar-tree to control rot disease.As the results indicated,the control effect of 1.6% benziothiazolinone PF were 93.1% and 90.3% respectively,and the control effect of 2% Kui Fu Ling were 90.1% and 87.5% in two separated field surveys.These two pesticides have good control efficiency with no significant differences.The control effect of 3% thiophanate PA and Humic acid copper AS were lower than 1.6% benziothiazolinone PF and 2% Kui Fu Ling apperently with values of 81.9%,83.2% respectively.1.6% Benziothiazolinone PF and 2% Kui Fu Ling can be used in rotation in field,which can not only achieve good control effect,but retard the development of resistance.
