| This study was aimed to investigate the effects of supplying benzoic acid and glucose oxidase in corn-soybean diet on the performance, nutrient digestibility, blood biochemical index and intestinal health of weaned piglets,to obtain the effects and the mechanism of benzoic acid and glucose oxidase. The study was divided into three parts, feeding experiments, digestion experiments and slaughter experiments. For feeding experiments,a total number of 160 Duroc × Landrace × Yorkshire weaned piglets were employed at 28 days of age and their average body weight was(7.49 ± 0.74)kg.All piglets were randomly divided into five groups and were treated as following, the basic corn-soybean diet as control group, supplying 3000 mg/kg benzoic acid plus 100 mg/kg glucose oxidase as group Two,supplying 3000 mg/kg benzoic acid plus 200 mg/kg glucose oxidase as group Three, supplying 5000 mg/kg of benzoic acid plus 100 mg/kg of glucose oxidase as group Four, supplying 5000 mg/kg of benzoic acid plus 200 mg/kg of glucose oxidase as group Five. All of the diets did not add any antibiotics.Every group contains 4 replicate with 8 pigs per replicate and the experiment last 30 days. The digestion experiments were performed on the 27-30 th day of the feeding experiment by using the endogenous indicator method. The slaughter experiments were conducted on the 30 th day in the feeding experiment. The results are as follows:1.Compared with the control group, the F/G of piglets reduced significantly(P <0.05)in the other four groups;the diarrhea rate in other four treatment groups reduced significantly(P <0.05).2.Compared with the control group, the weaned piglets digestibility of dietary dry matter, crude protein, calcium, phosphorus and ash increased significantly(P <0.05)in group Four and Five.3.Compared with the control group, the serum levels of triglyceride, ammonia nitrogen and MDA decreased significantly(P <0.05)in group Four piglets.Experiment 2: A total number of 128 DLY(Duroc × Landrace × Yorkshire)weaned piglets were employed at 28 days of age and their average body weight was 7.33 ± 0.72 kg.The number of the male and female were both 64 and they are randomly divided into 4 groups: the basic corn-soybean diet as control group, supplying 5000 mg/kg benzoic acid as group Two,supplying 100 mg/kg glucose oxidase as group Three, supplying 5000 mg/kg of benzoic acid plus 100 mg/kg of glucose oxidase as group Four. All of the diets did not add any antibiotics.Every group contains 4 replicate with 8 pigs per replicate and the experiment last 30 days.At the 27-30 th day of the experiment, the digestion experiment was conducted by using the endogenous indicator method that collecting part of the feces. At the end of the 30 th day the pig was slaughtered and the blood samples were collected. The results are as follows:1.Compared with the control group, the pH value of colonic chyme in piglets decreased significantly(P <0.05)in other treatment groups.2.Compared with the control group, the number of E.coli in the cecum of piglets decreased significantly(P <0.05)in other treatment groups.3.Compared with the control group, the ratio of jejunum villus height to crypt depth increased in group Four piglets. In this study, the combination of 5000 mg/kg of benzoic acid and 100mg/kg of glucose oxidase had a better effect;the combination can significantly improve piglet performance, improve apparent diet digestibility and reduce the serum of triglyceride, ammonia nitrogen and MDA.It can also significantly reduce the intestinal pH of weaned piglets, improve the morphology of small intestine, and optimize the intestinal flora contents. |
